So happy your mom’s brain fence is (at least at this point in her life) a picket one and that you help her share some of herself with the world. She is an amazing, insightful and intelligent person and so many of us would have never had the privilege of getting to know her, if not for you sharing her thoughts, ideas and perspectives. That fun Birthday message for her friend at the early part of the pandemic has certainly benefited so many more of us than either of you ever imagined! Gates! AMAZEBALLS! I vote for lots and lots of GATES!! I have a bunch of squirrels 🐿 in my yard this year. Neither fences nor gates slow them down. Happy to share my squirrels AND my G&T bar!! Cheers!🍸

Just had a social distance chat with my neighbour about talking to the squirrels and watching their body language for their answers. It was outside my fence of course. My kids think this idea is crazy but a little crazy can keep you sane, especially now , when communing with nature is so important.

Your advice about opening the gate is excellent, not only for our brains but for our choice of news channels too. We tend to pick one that reinforces our own world view... and maybe, maybe once in a while, we should visit people who watch other channels... to expand our perspective and try to understand their world view. And... and... we could even have the jungle juice in the GnT timezone while we get to know one another. One more thing... squirrels torment my Schnauzer. Oh you are just SO darn wise, my doggo friend ! I'm going to try to get my husband to watch this with me. He seems to like those brain fences....watches videos of political commentary of two- leggeds who AGREE with him, like a lot of the time.
To me, that would be adding more squirrels who look just like mine, and it could become dangerous !
