    It's not mentioned in the video, but this keyboard is available in the standard ISO layout with the regular sized enter, backspace, and left shift keys. So if you're like me, and you have to gag every time you see an ANSI keyboard, don't worry, this one is fine.

  • @hexisl8937

    Nice review. Bought this keyboard recently. Among the downsides, apart from the loud ping noise I would also like to point out the sensitivity/short travel of the switches. I dont know if this is a defect, I doubt it as it seems to be the same for all of my keys, but the keys are very sensitive to mild tapping and easily register without even moving it half way down. This is comparable to cherry mx switches which I had on my old keyboard. When typing fast, it is possible to make typos and mistakes because you would be accidentally touching adjacent keys, and because of the short travel distance, 7/10 times they will go off. I think this should be worth a mention ( if this is the same for all keyboard not just mine ).
    Overall, I would say that this is a passable keyboard. 45$ yes, but no rgb lightning, no keyboard software+ programmable keys, the switches are not lubed which results in a very loud and annoying pinging echo, and the switches are very sensitive ( and they are also some custom switches that Trust uses ). For this price, a friend of mine bought a keyboard+set by Havit. Havit keyboard is mechanical, similar size, worse quality in terms of the plastic and no rubber padding but better switches and customization + a mouse.

    • @outlawmystic4911

      @appleleptiker 2 роки тому

      Yeah... games like GTA are nearly unplayable if you use a WASD layout for games. In my opinion at least since pressing D for example is way too easy.

    • @LevelUPGamingTech
      @LevelUPGamingTech  3 роки тому +2

      Pinging is completely due to the springs... I have lubed several other keyboards, complete switch lubing and spring is directly responsible for that. After lubing the sound is amazing and the feeling as well. But it requires desoldering, switch disassembly and lubing all the parts, and then everything in reverse 😉

    Is it hot swap?

    All im going to say its: Bad quality of the switches, very cheap random TRUST switches. if you’re typing fast it doesnt register clicks, when you start pushing multiple buttons (osu!mania player) at once, they dont register. I wouldn’t reccomend. I would go for a HYPERX Alloy FPS Pro whoch is 70$ and has good switches, good quality keycaps and registers every key. :)

      Sorry you got a sample like that, mine works completely normal and refisters every key press. Regarding buttons pressed at once it supports N_key rollover, so it must register all at once, just can't remember if there is a switch (Fn+ something) to activate it...

    • @guunk
      @guunk 3 роки тому

      LevelUP Gaming & Tech Yep, there was a switch to turn N key rollover, it was FN + End, but it didin’t help. When I pushed multiple buttons eand bottomed out, it just didint register like 50% of them which made me go insane haha, I reutrned it and got my money back and I dont think i’ll ever will decide to buy something from Trust once again, but it probably was my sample :)

    Complaining about ABS keycaps while one of the best if not the best company that makes keycaps: GMK makes them with ABS plastic. A problem with PBT plastic is that especially the spacebar can be warped.

    • @LevelUPGamingTech
      @LevelUPGamingTech  3 роки тому +1

      It's not the problem in material itself, but in cheap production using the same material. You are comparing GMK, which uses double shot moldings with 1.5mm thick plastic of one layer only, there is that second mold also with a thinner layer of plastic too, vs. barely 1mm thick on this one. It's not the same comparison. Plus this is not double shot ABS on this, this is the mentioned cheap one with laser etched legends with painted keycaps, not molded from black ones, so they have translucent keycaps, painted in black then laser etched legends in to that paint so the translucent part would let light shine through... So I think that my complaints are in order 👍
