While there was some expectation that the Green Bay Packers could acquire an edge rusher or a cornerback ahead of the NFL trade deadline yesterday, that was never a possibility. Right after the trade deadline passed, Brian Gutekunst talked to the local media about why he moved Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 7th-round 2025 NFL Draft Pick and his vision for the future of the Green Bay Packers roster. Preston Smith was in fact, playing the lowest percentage of defensive snaps since he arrived in Green Bay 5 years ago. The number was 84% in 2019, it reached 80% in 2022, but was down to 54% under Jeff Hafley. He’s more apt to play as a 3-4 outside linebacker than he is to be a 4-3 defensive end. Make the most out of each treasured Sunday with our top tailgating must-haves. And this trend would just continue, as Brian Gutekunst said. Early in the season, Preston Smith was still playing most of the snaps, 71% against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 1 and more than 50% in each of the 1st 6 games. That was progressively reduced, though, arriving to 44% against the Houston Texans and a season-low 37% against the Detroit Lions. Now, it means more snaps and more responsibility for our young players like Lukas Van Ness, Kingsley Enagbare, Arron Mosby, and Brenton Cox. While the Green Bay Packers were sellers, the chances of them acquiring anyone did not materialize. Brian Gutekunst revealed that he found out early in the process that there wouldn’t be many valuable moves to make this year. It’s not that Brian Gutekunst wasn’t willing to acquire any player for the right price to make the roster better. It’s that he thinks the value wasn’t there. Ultimately, the current vision of the Green Bay Packers is the one responsible for the success or failure this season. And that nothing could have changed that ahead of the trade deadline yesterday. I mean look at this pass draft a good MLB and a top 3 safety in the league and once back probably all rookie at the least Jordan Morgan ain't look to bad
A 3rd, 4th and 6th this upcoming draft for Lattimore a 5th this season + 37 million the next two season was a stretch for the Packers. The Packers do not have a full defense that fits their scheme they need the multiple picks to build it. I don't think Lattimore pushes the needle for the Packers out from a wildcard team and maybe a team that can win a game in the playoffs to Superbowl contenders this season. I rate Lattimore though very good CB and it would have been fun with him and Alexander.
Lions are starting to get dirty. I think this time of the antics they want to get that way. The Packers win this shit back out.💛💚🩷🩵💙 sorry it's Siri put in the know what I don't want to put in there. 💛💚
Linda injured you still can keep your players they'll just help keep that they can keep going and can still be accessible while the other players rest next week can still succeed💛💚🩷🩵
6-3 and we haven't played our best ball yet

We put our smart money on X and Josh.
There no need to make any moves. Weren’t we 3-6 this time last year?
Packers fans give this guy, too much of a leash.

He has built one of the best and deepest rosters in the entire league in like 6 years.
It’s the same old front office
Should of traded Alexander for a healthier cb and more reliable
Ur stupid
Marshawn Lattimore would have been nice. Jaime is awesome but he only plays 1/2 the time. Best ability is availability & seldom available.
Marshan lattimore was

We are not winning a Super Bowl with Nixon and stokes respectfully
He has missed on his pass rusher picks time to sign or trade for big name one
23 skidoo!!!
I didn't want any other players taken specially Josh Jacobs and Christian Watson. They are good players, I like. I am big fan of them 💛💚🩷💙
Greg Newsome???
Stokes 2.0 minus the injuries.
And players don't they have it and put on in when they don't wanna leave them selves 💛💚💛🩷
Come again? I'm not sure which one of us had the stroke.
