Nerf N Series Launch Event! Early look at the N1 Dart and new blasters at Hasbro HQ!

What an experience this was! So thankful for the opportunity to go, and I can't wait to do more reviews on these blasters! I was able to play with the Nerf N Series Agility, the Infinite, the Pinpoint, the Ward and maybe my favourite, the flywheel powered Sprinter (Nerf 8+is blasters are now on 9v, yay!). Thanks as well to my fellow content people, how cool to be able to say down the road, we were at the launch for that line - no matter how it goes!

Something I wish I’d mentioned in this super long video is, the darts are closed on the back, so they do hold their shape better!
Nice video, i really enjoyed hearing about the trip and what its like being at Hasbro. I hope someone makes a half dart kit for the bull pump blaster

There's just something I like about them, the N series darts.
A wider diameter and a shorter length dart, but not half dart short. I don't know, I think I would use them like you would a Mega blaster if I could.
If there are blasters I would get, it would be the Sprinter and Ward. Hopefully they'll make more blasters in this series for a higher age range, or for a larger hand, I've very large hands.

Nice! I hope this line gives us more performance while being comfortable and easy to use, Nerf has had a couple of setbacks in the past year or two so I currently have high hopes for N-series.
i'm so happy for you that you got to do this! also, shooting a megaxl at the side of their building with a flywheeler they haven't designed is such a huge flex lol

Hopefully they'll reuse the infinite mag for a future flywheel blaster. Recycling is best imo.

Are they better than the inexpensive Adventure Force waffle head darts or the new X-shot darts? That’s something I haven’t seen compared.
They hold their shape better, so, maybe more reusable? More accurate, not sure yet. They are certainly on their own a decent dart compared to elite haha

Excited for the new series but my question would be if this is a replacement for Elite what happens about the other ammo types like rival,mega,ultra,hyper etc? Could they let us know one way or the other?
Oh I mean, Ultra and Hyper are pretty dead. MEGA is hanging in there, and Rival is probably around for a bit for sure. These are my asssumptions.
I should think the other two major companies (Xuru & AdventureForce) will keep making their versions of Elite darts to support the infrastructure as a whole, at least for the next couple of years. It’ll take at least that long to see whether N-Series becomes established mainstream.

Did you tell the development team Hasbro made a mistake by dropping the XML Line?
Pretty sure they liked it a lot too, just hard to have it legal lots places and I’m not sure it sold super well with all the clearance. You know I’m sad about it :)
@@maritimefoam - no doubt with your gauntlet (I still need one). The only good thing for me with them going on clearance is I was about to get so many MXL darts for super cheap.
I’m always optimistic when Nerf releases new ammo types. I usually get the 1 or 2 shot plinkers first.
I’m definitely getting the Ward w/ N Series to start. From there we’ll see.
Did they give an estimated MSRP on the N1 Dart packs? Is 100 the smallest pack size?

Oh, sorry, silly term we adopted for ultra darts darts - DRM is Digital Rights Management, the term for files that are locked to the owner. Not an accurate term haha

Can the Nerf community cut the crap about darts and act like intelligent adults... Hasbro wants Mom money thats where the money is and Hasbro has the distribution monopoly. So if it is going to put all those blasters on shelves it wants Mom being forced to buy Nerf darts. Long darts are also less child killable. Enough bs. Hasbro doesnt care about performance. Every time i hear a Nerfer reading performance claims on Nerf packaging as if it is anything more than marketing for 10 year olds i cringe. And everytime Habsro launches new children's toys some people actually think Hasbro now cares about performance. It cares about Mom money. Period. We have lots of other companies like Dartzone who cater to us and modding childrens toys is fun anyway.

ompanies like Zuru and Dartzone are no different to Hasbro. They exist to make money. Period. Everything is a compromise between costs and finding a market big enough to make it a commercially viable product. Performance claims are best case scenarios. If a competitor's blaster fires darts 15fps faster than Nerf, it's not because they care about performance, it's because they want you to buy their products. Those extra fps makes it sound good. You make Hasbro sound like pure evil, but many companies make products aimed at kids. Kids have to rely on parents to buy many things. They also have to have clothes, books, toys, stuff for school, food and drink. All those evil companies making money selling things for kids. 🙄
It's pretty clear to me that the N Series line is a "pro" Jr line. All the blasters are designed for kids and not suitable to be modded. Despite having my own nerf party business, I see no reason to include these blasters to my inventory. They just aren't cool enough. The rayven was cool. The n series version looks like it would only appeal to a 3 yr old cause it's so big and bright.
I kinda came to the opposite on my parties, I plan to replace a bunch of stuff in my party blasters because they eliminate a few things kids constantly have issues with, like the mags can be loaded when not half primed, the darts MAY be more durable because the filled in back keeps its shape (can’t prove that one yet, needs time) and they hit harder, which kids always like seeing their darts going farther.
Now the problem is, mixed ammo types, and with kids that’s a nightmare. But I’ll likely have enough on hand to run a party for much younger kids using these.
I agree they are probably less meant to be modded than ever and definitely designed for kids. But I can see me using the infinite in local low FPS battles and HvZ.
I do wish there had been a sprinter in my box, the bullpup flywheeler.

@maritimefoam from prior conversations with you, i know you like each kid to have a different blaster. I like them all to have the same blaster. I would need to buy 20 of each, but you would only need 10-20 total. If they shot elite darts, I'd be more interested, but I still wouldn't like any of them. The infinite is too big, as is the raven reshell, but I'm sure that's on purpose to make them more obviously toys.
Whether you know or not, what do you think nerf's next pro blaster will be similar to?
Shouldn't you be asking your customers what THEY think is "cool" instead of deciding for them? 😉 The simple tuth is you can't please all the people all the time. They can only produce a limited range of Nerf blasters otherwise it becomes impossible to recoup the costs and everybody wants something slightly different.
@another3997 no. Kids don't know what blasters are fun and easy to use, aka war practical. A blaster that is as huge as the infinite, is slower to reload than preloaded mags, and isn't accurate isn't going to be fun to use, especially because it doesn't have slamfire.
@another3997 the xshot skins last stand is better than the infinite in every way, especially cost.
It's a loss.
Nerf may have a lot of market space, but parents are buying at target/walmart/costco/amazon where the alternatives are growing in availability and popularity, and kids are watching online reviews/channels. Nerf tries movie and video-game specific blasters to capitalize on kids interested in those games/shows, but all the kids I know use garage-sale finds or get the cheaper buy if new-in-store and find out pretty quick which brands hit harder and fly farther or are more accurate. Nerf is going to lose.
I do parties that have included literally thousands of kids over the past few years and 99% of them don’t even know the name of their favourite blaster so I guess I disagree. I mean, I agree that I would have recommended an adventure force spectrum over any nerf flywheeler, etc. but most kids have no idea it would be better. I don’t really count any of the higher end pro stuff because that’s a small chunk of audience.
Maybe not 99%, but, only maybe 2-5% of kids who have nerf are up on their recent reviews and comments. So I don’t underestimate the power of a massive globally recognized brand when it comes to blasters.
If you’re in an area with a lot of nerf clubs etc, I’d agree more, but that’s still small small percentages.
@@maritimefoam Oh, most of the kids I interact with regularly don't know the names of the blasters/companies either, it's all 'nerf' to them, but a number of them do and know exactly what they want and it's never nerf-brand.
Those who don't know want what they think looks cool on the shelf at walmart/target/costco and that is as likely to be Adventure Force or X-shot as Nerf, and the former are usually less expensive and back-compatible and hit harder.
Nerf's real advantage was past market share such that so many used/garage-sale blasters are Nerf but that hurts them when introducing a new projectile.
In your parties, do you use much Nerf-Ultra? Or Rival? or Hyper? Or are you moving to gel-beads at all?
For our kids and their friends, X-shot is most common new-stuff because that is what was least expensive and available at the big stores, most of the Nerf stuff is from garage sales. Ultra & Rival are pretty rare and the kids don't like either for "battles" because they find them heavy or difficult to prime and the rival doesn't shoot very far or accurately or hit hard. Indoors, they like Rival just fine, just not outside unless playing a game of "catch the ball" where one kid launches it skywards and the others compete to catch it on the fall. I've seen this done with disc-shooters as well, but those are really REALLY rare.
If Nerf manages to get this dart into the market instead of losing more share to its competitors, I will be very much surprised.

Very disappointing seeing all the big nerftubers drink the flavor-aide. Dart drm blows and this seems incredibly anti consumer. Hasbro has basically shown that they don't care about the hobby space. Also i will never forgive hasbro for killing mega xl.
I mean, you’re definitely entitled to your opinion. These are age 8+ blasters. Nerf actually created a pro line, someone we thought they’d never do. But to each their own!
@@maritimefoam they created a pro blaster. Need more than one to call it a line. The stryfeX is nice if a bit overpriced. Still nuts it's not in stores.

@@beretnarf do we know if they are foam? They call gel pro as well. Considering the very low prices compared to the stryfeX I am wondering if they are more gel stuff. Also, do nerf gel beads soaked in nerf water do better? Hahaha
You seem to think proprietary products are evil. Except they're not evil, it's normal business. They all exist to make money from their products and services. You can do this by making unique products, and protecting them with patents to stop others making money off your hard work. Around the globe, millions of individuals and companies do this every year. Some become so successful, they literally become the standard, yet most started as proprietary designs. Many of the things you encounter in daily life are proprietary. Nerf set the standard for dart sizes long ago with a proprietary design, but somehow that was different?
