Best game so far in Worlds this year. Rewatched the last fight multiple times and in slow mo and it’s just too epic
Idk man jdg was kinda playing with there food. DK’s draft was so bad so they clearly played a pretty good game to keep it close, but missing and 369 literally ran it down and jdg still outplayed 3v5

The speed at which JDG makes decisions regarding rotations and potential picks based on vision is absolutely insane
The renekton pick right before drag is insane, the moment he shows on the wave they ping him as a target, he wasn't even that cut off

This is the classic JDG game, where they look like they are losing, might lose the game then out of nowhere they make a great play and just win the game. I gotta ask though when will a team actually punish JDG for some of the big mistakes they had this game and actually beat them because right now JDGS macro and team play make it really hard to do that in all honesty

Canyon is one of the best junglers, he can be equal with Kanavi. You need a team where all 5 players have good mechanics to beat them
JDG feels like the kind of team that will either win or lose 3-2, not more and not less. Every match they play feels like a full marathon, and no matter win or lose, their opponents have to sweat very hard for it.
@@andreistanculescu653 Yeah exactly that’s why I posed the question the way I did at the end because JDG clearly makes some decisions that are int but teams can’t punish them because JDG has some of the best team play and macro game decisions that we’ve seen.
If anyone interested in watch this type of games, try LPL next year. You will love it.

Totally agree man. I am not a LCK or a LPL Fan, but if I had to pick one I would be LPL fan over LCK any day. Every interview with lck players end up with LCK players being cocky as fuck. T1 literally said that every role on their team is the best in the world. showmaker claiming LPL first and second worst than LCK first and second. When the LPL4th seed destroyed the T1 at MSI. Like at least LPL players at least respects other team. And LCK players always make excuses for their loss never showing any sign of sports manship. @@amulia1 I would like to believe it’s the fans and not the players themselves. The players themselves are actually pretty humble and hangout with LPL players. But LCK fans are super toxic and you can see this everywhere. If a team casually admit “I think LPL team is better and we just played worse compare to them”, they will get so many backlashes and toxicity from LCK fans.
But if they can at least think of a excuse, they can save some reputation and face from LCK fans. You go into LPL game streams and you see a lot of comments from LCK.
But that is not to deny LPL can be toxic as well. But LPL’s toxicity comes from people who couldn’t take the backlash from LCK. There is a reason why LCK fans used to shit on LEC back in 2018-2019 because EU consistently outperforms LCK. But now that LPL starts winning they shift that towards LPL and LPL fans began firing back at LCK.
There is also a reason why LCK fans shits on LEC, LCS, and LPL. While LPL fans appreciated LEC and prob don’t even know NA exist. But they highly value C9, a lot of Chinese fans put C9 over EDG. LEC on the other hand have this meme rivalry with LCS, jokes and have fun about LPL, and …. I don’t think they like LCK tbh…. But that’s just me.
This is the peak performance for weak early jungler setup from Canyon and that could be the plan of textbook.
VOD timeline:
7:35 Start botside and peel bot since graves have gank potential in that bot matchup if lv3 rush bot (Varus Renata have to push that lane to win and Rell Kai'sa have all-in potential together with graves).(This is common to see, JDG expected that so a ward is put in that bush before lane spawn making sure at least graves won't get focused first when coming from the river/E down the wall, if that happens JDG 100% lost cuz DK bot have lane prior.)
8:46 THE FIRST GENIUS MOVE. Graves met Maokai and quickly leave since enemy bot is pushing. Care the current wave phase for the DK bot is a slow-pushing wave meaning many minions will be stacked under turret once pushed in and they can easily invade without loss + enemy bot very likely not coming. Therefore, Kanavi instantly turn to mid wave and push a new wave coming so that he could get at least one lane prior to protect his blue with showmaker can't come.(mainly since wave, also the potential of getting caught by their mid jg if he forced to help invade) Maokai knows that and he is already too late to solve mid lane's wave since he need to make sure graves not coming back to bot again after they met and waste some time help visioning, also the path for him to mid lane is longer than graves. Also he knows that JDG believe that he is invading blue, realizing that the first crab is fragile and he will get lower than graves if he trade with graves one to one, he decided to stand in the bush with the closest access to the crab without being discovered. For JDG, Rell is already coming to protect blue, and once Kanavi realized that Maokai is not in blue, he just autoed once to realize that he is being trapped and quickly turn back to river to check the position of maokai.(the reason i said trapped is because he could get maokai low before the timing of the spawning crab if he found out where the maokai is. If maokai is low, they could actually try to fight for that and give kai'sa room to perform.)
9:36 Maokai gets the crab and do the exactly thing as graves done before, that is, getting mid prior by duo pushing, and get the topside crab.(basic and common to see)
10:14 THE SECOND GENIUS DECISION. Maokai just cleared his wolves and quickly turn to raptors to defend them since he sees graves is rushing bot with red-raptor-gromp and heading back to blue and wolves. Graves either have to reset there or invade his raptors.(the reason Canyon cleared the raptors first is for peeling bot faster + maokai can't level 1 start red without leash(DK bot didn't leash for lane prior in such a matchup, otherwise their bot could be traded level 1 since the enemy bot have to solve such a matchup in that way, like what happened in G2 DK game where Leona flashed for trading Cait's cleanese and ignite after cleanese to get Cait HP lower so that Cait can't push without concern starting from level 2. If that's western bot versus cait lux, they will just get pushed, losing CS and don't know what to do being perma passive.), and he knows Kanavi must have take that as an information for sure. The raptors spawn timing is also easy to calculate for Kanavi since it is only a camp faster than his own raptors. AND CANYON EXPECTED THAT, so he defend his raptors without clearing all his blue side and recall instantly like 99% junglers. (saying high elo junglers, not those people who don't give a shit to path rather than knowing the first clear varieties. For low elo they might not clear the blue side fully, for mid elo they are very likely to overstay after clearing the blue side, they could even do first recall at level 6 with 2000 golds on them, and they can't realize a lot of time slots of doing things have been wasted.)
10:28 Just legendary prediction that everyone can tell. Idk how maokai realized he did cancelled the graves recall successfully, it must be either the sound effect or phase rush stack if there exist such thing. Notice that graves didn't flash earlier knowing that he is in huge danger, i am not sure if he hesitated or really think in a way as i think(i think what happened is the best result for JDG since if graves pre-flash before maokai's flash, JDG side will lose a flash to nothing and lose the threat to the enemy botlane. The spawn time is 10 seconds, Graves have to recall there either way so that kill is purely a 400G+assists without any other benefits and they cost the maokai and varus' flash, which is the reason they won a huge one by yagao's ult later on at 12:48. Otherwise, if the scenario keep stalemated like that, JDG botlane can't play, they want something chaos happen around them and have a breach, otherwise kai'sa is a super trash champion on purely ideal laning.)
Btw, a fun fact of Kanavi, he used to spam fullclearing at season 9 in KR ranked games, and same on S10 LPL Spring, and people quickly found his weak point, and that is getting mid prior and invading his 2nd turn Raptors if kanavi starts red at first. If i didn't remember that wrong, the first one doing that is RNG XLB in that split.

JDG and TES didn't perform well in S10, but now they are showing the world how skilled and scary they can be, by far the most heart pumping game, Yagao's Azir is on another level.
In honestly in 2020 JDG and TES were on the cannibal bracket 3 Chinese teams. If we rewound time and JDG or TES were on the opposite bracket Damwon would have not made it to finals it would be a LPL VS LPL finals

Great teams, a very close game which made it so tense. Do wish got Nuguri got another champ because Renekton seemed irrelevant to making it more even, sadge he got banned out. 6 tops are being banned. Think something like Gnar, Wukong, Kenen, Jayce would be better. Good game by both team, was very back and forth. Definitely top-class macro, and both team not wanting to take a decision where it would give them a lesser deal or the wrong end of the stick. Players who were set apart were probably Yagao, Hope, Deokdam, Kellin. Definitely gonna be 2 teams gonna have to take a close look at more in Worlds.

JDG where not that good in 2020 woorlds, they shoud have lost to RGE and maybe play a tie-breaker for groups ( since then RGE will take their last game seriously ).
No one could beat DWG at 2020. They were the best team in the world that year and deservingly won it all. This year the competition is very close and is anyone's game imo.

Well played to both teams. JDG was able to go even early and mid game then they outscaled with Ornn and Azir.
That ulti from kanavi in the last team fight did SO MUCH DAMAGE. Redemption for the poor performance before that very moment
it wasn't a "poor performance," he was just being predictable backing in the bush & then in the pit & lost that first blood.
@@YCHTT he got caught so many times this game, managed to escape a few but team resources spent. The damage number is also really low despite in that last team fight he did the most damage for JDG. Multiple lost smites to Canyon too. Not saying he is a bad jg but certainly not matching his performance day 1

Because if they pick a tank like ornn/sion or even play maokai top they can easily get countered by 369 fiora for example. Plus nuguri is not a good tank/weakside player, whereas 369 is good aggressive/strongside player so its a lose-lose for DK. The renekton pick is safe as it doesnt have many hard counters.

Kanavi could end 1/9 and not taking objectives and you'll still say that, same way you probably went around saying Nuguri was the best player in FPX, despite of him feeding in lane. Kanavi had a lot of moments when he could've thrown the match, but, of course, you'll ignore that. If it wasn't for the Graves pick, he wouldn't have survived that much. By the way, Korea is not the center of the universe, you should start looking beyond your country.

It usually goes to 50 seconds late game, but Kanavi went for more cdr than you usually do on graves so probably around 35 seconds
