    I've saw a news article in newspaper today stating about the treatment of cataracts being developed by Indian scientists through aspirin eye drops, It will be available within 3 years if all stages of testing goes well and you will no longer need surgery to treat cataracts, Crazy to see how far is Science moving forward, Future is gonna be awesome.

    Thank you so much for this video. My job is very computer heavy and since last week I've been feeling foggy but not quite lightheaded, just spacey. I soon discovered that my eyes were super strained. I have to go watch your blue light glasses video to see about good recommendations for that but I've definitely been slacking on giving myself a break. This is great:
    (From Francis Young's Plus Study, and Statistics. The "p value", was less than 0.0001 for the 5 years of his study. )
    With 20/50, on my Snellen, I always wear a "prevention plus lens", to totally prevent further entry into myopia.
    When I read at 20 inches (-2 Diopters stress), I wear a +2 Diopter, that completely ends the effect of close work on my eyes.
    Thanks for your review!
    There is a difference of opinion about doing this effectively.
    That is what science is all about.

    Not sure if it's normal, but I once woke in the middle of the night to a spider on my eye. I couldn't help but feel it had been drinking off the surface of my eye! Also, I still think there's something good about chopping onions to help with dry eyes- they warm up the eye, and perhaps they activate enzymes that may otherwise not receive enough triggering..

    Ever since school started (I’m a senior in HS) with virtual learning. It hurts my eyes to stare at a screen at 7am even if the brightness is super low. Around the end of September, I started to see letters and numbers look double. I don’t see anything else double only those thing but my eyes for the past two months have become so red that the veins around them are always around the cornea of my eyes. I know I have a dry eye problem because they burn and I can feel that they’re dry if that makes sense. They sometimes hurt and I do get tension headaches frequently. I am concerned that my eye health could be more sever than I think it is and I’m extremely worried that it could lead to vision loss. Should I be afraid of this?

    Thanks for the video doctor! Quick question, I always get confused how often/when should I wear my glasses. I have -0.75 and -0.5. Because of the different in strength, I'm scared of developing lazy eye. Any thoughts?

    • @DoctorEyeHealth

      That is such a small amount that I doubt it would lead to lazy eye.

      Depending on the type of lazy eye and how bad it is, glasses/contacts can sometimes help but often after the age of about 9-12 there is little one can do.

      If you can find them in an eye clinic, blue tech lenses. If shopping online, I like Gunnar, Jins, and Blublox the most right now.

    Hi Joseph, I wanted to ask you what you what you would recommend for me...I have astigmatism and about +3 contact lenses which I wear everyday. I used to wear glasses 24/7 from a very young age but got sick of them and changed to contact lenses a few years ago. Now I am wondering whether I should get a pair of glasses to use when looking at a computer or book and use my contact lens for other everyday things?? Sometimes when wearing my contact lenses its like they go foggy and I don't know why (maybe I'm not blinking enough) so I will do everything with no contacts or glasses at all. Im 28 so my natural eye lens does seem to be able to focus well though my eyes get tired very quickly. Thank you for your help and your videos. They are great :)

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  4 роки тому +2

      Thank you for watching! Contact lenses can dry out and go blurry pretty easily. You could always try rewetting drops if needed otherwise maybe your eye doctor could recommend another brand of contacts that are better for dryness. If your eyes are getting tired while on the computer, getting a pair of glasses specifically for the computer to use alongside the contacts or even a separate computer pair would work the best.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, some brands do specialize in that. Do you mean like "Asian fit glasses"?

    • @aznluckeegirl05
      @aznluckeegirl05 4 роки тому

      Doctor Eye Health Yeah, also include brands that have nose pads that could be swapped out for a low nose bridge. My eye doctor technically didn’t offer “asian fit” brands in their store but thankfully had one where the brand offered different nose pads for their eyeglasses. I ended up using the “universal” nose pad fit. 😅

    Hello doctor! I have recently started watching your channel and your content is awesome! I have a question, since July 17 i am having monocular diplopia in both eyes almost equally. And it happened on the same day. I hadnt suffered any injuries or physical trauma. I happened to look at a lightbulb and noticed it.
    The second image is on top of the object and is usually super faint. But its quiet noticeable on high contrast backgrounds. I have 6/6 vision in both eyes and have no trouble seeing distant objects.
    Around July 1, I had developed a bit of itchiness and redness in both my eyes. When it got unbearable, I went to the hospital on 14th and the doctor said I had allergies. They didnt take a comprehensive eye exam. Just shined a flashlight in my eye. And 3 days later I just had it.
    Would it be corrected naturally or is it permanent? Would glasses fix this cuz I personally hate lenses... I just want my vision back☹
    Also, I am a student and have a 10 to 12 hour daily screentime because of online classes and projects.
    I also feel like i have dry eyes.
