it was a bit fast but the amount of things i've learned from this video is crazy especially the Lighting and lookdev . thank you so much for the highQuality content you are providing !
MASH is such a cool feature in Maya, especially for procedurally workflow and motion design. I'd love to see some detailed and advanced tutorials on that! :)
you're arranging the character in a correct way! very good! And for some info, that word combine together is a phrase. 招財進寶 meaning "ushering in wealth and prosperity"
Thanks ! These videos are very interesting. I'm not a fan of sped up videos but the whole process is also nice to be understood though. This format can also be frustrating because if you want to have specific explantions about something in the video, it's almost impossible to follow the speed. I was interested by your choice of UV to make your UDIM and the process of it but I guess I miss some piece of the puzzle. Anyway thank you for your awesome videos and for taking the time for us !
Hey Art Dempsey, Thanks man! I just released a Part 1 on a Substance Painter tutorial and the Part 2 that will come next that will be a much slower and more in depth look at my Arnold shading setup. I'm going to go over some procedural dust setups and other things as well. Cheers!
Damn,y ou literally skipped the one section I wanted to see D: I really wanted to figure out how you managed to get the dim Area light to go through the mesh
wahh this an amazing tutorial but can you please possibly put up the full length video up too?its perfect timing but i'm also trying to make a Chinese lantern for my final project but of course its a bigger environment that i'm creating! thank youu~
Thank you! I don't think I will be releasing a full length version just due to it being almost entirely not commentated. I was recording without audio as I went through it and recorded the audio after. However alot of the concepts I go through are done in greater detail in my other videos. You can back through any of those videos that can explain each step a lot more in depth. Hope that helps!
@@BrentLeBlancCG honestly, theres a lot of 3D tutorials that are complexity silent or with atrocious music that you 9/10 times end up muting anyways without any captions or speaking involved. and i prefer those at times since its just watch a video (regardless of how long it is and just taking your time with it observing too!) but yeah, i wouldn't expect you to talk over it or put music or caption if you did upload the full length as your process would essentially explain itself. But i appreciate the response!
@@fft3587 Ok, how about I post the full length and I'll just leave it unlisted. Then I'll send you the link. Let me have a couple days to get it sorted. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the feedback, I was interested to see how people would like a more sped up version. I'm trying to figure out a good method to go through the entire process without making the videos too long. I'll try to include a bit of both types.
Hi , can you explain more of the SSS part because the steps you did in the video is kind of strange for me ,did you just open a new SSS channel in Substance Painter or is there other setting to do in Maya to achieve those kind of lighting effect ? Thank you , nice video anyway, subscribed 👍👍
As a small creator I`m looking for small UA-cam Creators to connect. Creators that make good content like yours. Thank you for your videos, looking forward to learn from them. I subed and ring the bell. Keep up Updating Videos please. Best Regards
Not gonna lie, bit fast in a lot of places for me but that may be that: - I am a newbie by comparison. - I thoroughly dislike arnold so I had to translate most of that to vray in my head.
Thanks for the feedback Cristian, the consensus seems to be I moved too fast through this one. I'll start making the videos in pieces that is much slower paced going over the topics in detail. Thanks for watching!
This is great! Probably too fast, but I really appreciate the content! Thank you for sharing! Keep up with your awesome channel!
Thanks for the feedback Mariana! I will definitely keep it up.

I've got one tutorial in the library on doing a MASH network for leaves, but I think I could do some other cool stuff. Thanks for watching!

:O. Master, 🙇🏼♂️
Haha, Thanks TXYZ.
very useful, get the basic idea of it , i can make my japanese lartern
Love it! Do one on realistic neon lighting/signs
Thanks Rassoul! I've never tried to make that, I'll look into it.
Could you please show how to do the crinkle on the paper? Thanks very much!!!
Can i see your Graphnetwork for the Lamp somewhere, i missed how you made it shine threw, i am struggleing with this at the time
make sure you create a material that is using subsurface scattering or transmittance. Then also put the lit inside the object.

can u do a quick tutorial on Incandescent light bulb (photo-realistic texturing and lighting) Plz.................
Hello Brent, I'm trying to achieve the same look but I'm not able to manage the transmission/subsurface settings. Any tips on it?
How did you make these tails? Have details video? Please help me. It's so fast! Many things can't understand 😞😞😞
The tassels are basically just a bunch of cylinders duplicated. Thanks!
its much better if do the video slow and explain what you are doing so we can learn more from you

Yes, I will do that. I apologise I kind of glossed over that a bit.
really cool result but definitly too fast...can't see what you do in painter..:(
to fast man I was trying to understand how did you make the mesh light work inside the lantern and I couldn't even when I dropped de playback speed
have you ever used redshift sometime
I have used it a little bit, but I don't know it very well yet.

it's a great job.. but it's going too fast to understand anything...
Can you please activate the cc or Chinese subtitle my bro! hahaha
I'll try to add that tonight!
CC is ready! My Chinese is awful, so I only added English subtitles. Hope it helps!
its so fast, couldnt understand many things.
real time please!
On it!
