It is amazing to hear these diary’s description of battle on the Eastern Front. I was in Vietnam, stationed at Nha Trang for a year, but never came close to this combat. It was 1968 to 1969. Earlier than my arrival was the great Têt Offensive. This weakened the enemy so my year of service was relatively quiet. I never experienced anything like what is described here. When I was there we had one half million men in Vietnam. I believe this was also a reason for the lack of attacks against my unit. I am truely amazed at the aggressive nature of the Soviet soldiers. What is described here is a snap shot of why the Soviet Union won the war. They never refused to attack German units. They were really hero’s, few who survived the war. Now I understand why so many soldiers on both sides died in this war. I was lucky to have fought in the right war, even though we did lose many fellow soldiers that greatly saddened me. I live in Korea now and will always be proud of my days of fighting with the brave Koreans of the White Horse Devision in Vietnam. It may be one reason I am proud to be among these people. It is the reason I go to the National cemetery here in Daejeon every year and sing a song by the tomb stone of fellow Koreans who died far from home in a war to defend democracy!
If they refused to fight them and their families would have been killed by Stalin, many of them fought with the Germans. Most of the soldiers on the western wall were Russians and Poles, fighting against Bolshevism!
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography picture 📷 relating to military forces personnel. Entering or exiting a bombed 💥 out city. 😱. Enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Special thanks to veteran soldiers sharing personal information pertaining to daily activities on the Eastern Front. After the WW-1 dispatch runner 🏃 corporal Hitler 😈 ordered general Guderian to halt the blitzkrieg momentum invasion of Moscow. That momentum was forever lost along with a decisively quick fall into winter victory. 😭
...even if the Germans HAD taken Moscow- it's doggone unlikely that the Germans would have held on to Moscow!!! ...the USSR was too doggone big- and there were too doggone many Russians: the Germans couldn't kill them fast enough!!! About the only way the Germans could have won in the east, was if the Germans had endeavored to win over the Russian people to the side of the Germans!!! Even in spite of Nazi brutality- a lot of Russians STILL collaborated with the Germans- but that was a drop in bucket compared to the support that the Germans COULD have had, if the Germans had made a real effort to win over the Russians!!! Hitler was an evil son of a bitc#- and he had no imagination-!!!
I think Hitler began to accept the possibility of defeat on the Eastern Front in late 1942, the overall strategic situation (inc. US entry) caused Hitler to try to extend the defensive shoulder along the Don and the Volga AND drive for the Caucasus simultaneously rather than sequentially. Possibility turning to likelihood by the time of Zitadelle. It's possible his mindset reversal occurred in late 1941 as Barbarossa/Taifun not only failed but exposed the limitations of the German war machine, if this was the case then Blau was a Hail Mary Pass which showed promise early on but eventually failed because of the limitations of the German war machine. I don't accept Hitler refused to accept reality, but I do think things which have been put forward as evidence of Hitler becoming a madman are distortions of Hitler hoping for a less disastrous outcome.
Bien ganó todas las batallas así que supongo que participó de la toma de Leningrado, Stalingrado y Moscu. Así Alemania ganó la 2da. guerra mundial, después de escuchar como las ganó todas contra el desastroso ejercito Soviético.

Heroes who raped millions and millions of German, Hungarian, Romanian, and Bulgarian women as they swept west?

Sir, did you just discover emojis?
I love the pic of the baddie from "T-34". Perfect charicature of a German officer.

I almost cried
Rewritting history of ww2 is going on
The story about the horse and cigar seemed familiar. This is from Bidermann's book.
Accept- restless and wild
