Germans in WWII seem, at least in hindsight, to have been amazingly misinformed about the world around them. This guy says it was a good thing they invaded the Soviet Union because otherwise the Soviets were going to invade Germany. He says this when he was actually there in 1941 where you’d think he’d have seen the Russians were hopelessly unprepared for war.
I guess this is the story of the second Battle of Voronezh. This was part of a Soviet attack that included the attack on Kharkov. The Germans barely escaped near the end of the battle with very few troops remaining. It was a German loss in a time where German losses were starting to pile up. Of course the narrator is completely biased because he is a German soldier but this was a long bloody battle won by the Soviets 🎉

Wonderfully told stories, starring super tragic characters, with many true to life anecdotes. This is truly what war was like. The real deal.
I must say it's excellent yo hear the English language spoken so superbly well. Who exactly is this narrat? He deserves an award.

Exhausted, how did he get time to write these extensive descriptions?
It amazes me that mail gets to these men at all, let alone within 2 weeks during the blitzkrieg.
Really don't know how they kept up.
Ah yes i also always wonderd how do they do it like between all those logistics of supplied shows how important and embedded writing was
How awful that war was for both countries soldiers and civilians😢
What happened why did they fight.
The narration speed setting is definitely too high. Please slow it down at least 10%. It's just way too fast and it's too hard to take in.
Stop staring at your screen and or multitasking take a chill and just listen.
@@GerryNottingham I would if they slowed the damn thing down.
@@bookaufman9643 your just dense and there is no hope, good luck!
@@GerryNottingham obviously you're an idiot. Thank you and drive though.
Is this part 1?
Yes.
I think so

The writer was either a German/ English major or a ghost writer who adds ample descriptive comments.
Yeah. I think you are right. LOL!
AI voiced interpretation I believe.. It is pretty good...
This is a real person narrating this or indistinguishable from it. It's a fairly proper English accent
@@TheNelster72 No, this is computer generated voice.
Quite the philosopher this “ ghost writer “ is-!!!👻
