RG Uni Glow always glitches when rendering MOV with alpha. Please fix this issue. : )

That doesn't sound good! It certainly shouldn't be doing that. We just gave it a try and while it was rendering, the playback in the composition window in After Effects certainly looked glitchy! However, the final result looked fine. Is this similar to the problem you're experiencing or is it different?
Either way, please create a support ticket at support.maxon.net so our team can look into it more fully.

@@MaxonRedgiant It glitches when you render through media encoder as MOV + Alpha (animation setting) . However it works fine in the AE exporter. So it must be on Adobe's end! Thank you so much! I will definitely do a ticket soon!

@@Brandonbraun Try using ProRes 4444 instead of Animation codec.

Please, please, please make Particlar v3 available as well. I don't need compatibility. I want it to be able to coexist with the latest version as a legacy version.
The past products have been great.
Therefore, we have libraries that have been created over the years. It would be a great loss to destroy all of this wealth. Please help us.

Hello! Please help us understand the need you are expressing here. What does Particular v3 have that you are lacking in the latest version of Particular?

      Thanks for your reply.
I think what V3 has and the latest version does not is speed, simplicity and stability.
Fluid was introduced after V4, but it became unstable and unresponsive.
Many companies did not update after V3 because of this.
Another major complaint was that the incompatibility of Particular meant that past works had to be discarded.
However, we understand that the evolution of digital tools is always accompanied by compatibility issues.
It would be impossible for V3 and 2024 to be compatible.
Therefore, we would like to see Particular as an alias effect so that the latest and past versions can coexist.
We would be so happy if we could choose our version within After Effects.
Only being able to launch one version of AfterEffects is an obstacle to diversity.
This is not the way to align companies.
      Please do me a favor....

@@ぶちゃの Thank you for your detailed feedback. We'll pass it on to the Trapcode team.
We hope you've noticed that migrating old projects into the latest version of Particular has been improving. With each release more edge cases are being addressed. If you're still encountering times when this doesn't work, please get in contact with our team by creating a ticket at support.maxon.net so they can look into solutions. All of the improvements we've been making in this area are from feedback from artists like you!
Note: if you go to File>Scripts in AE, you'll see there's a Particular Migrator script. That may help you get things migrated more smoothly. Again, if you have any migration issues, please contact us!
Since v3, a lot has changed! Fluid dynamics have been added as you mentioned, but also proper air physics, flocking, predator/prey, the very powerful ability for systems to emit other systems instead of the limited Aux system, and a ton more!
As far as speed in the newest version goes, improving performance has been a goal for the team this year. Features like Stroke from Parent addressed a performance bottleneck, but there were also big changes in the latest release which had remarkable improvements in rendering speed for complex projects! There are some more performance improvements on the roadmap as well. Arguably, the biggest speed issue is the long load time when you first apply (or reset) Particular. That's an issue with After Effects (AE must index every parameter when you first apply an effect and since Particular has THOUSANDS of them, it takes an annoyingly long time). Our team is working with the AE team at Adobe to discuss ways to address this.
Simplicity is an interesting topic and something our team has been working hard at. Creating presets for whole effects as well as for each block in the Designer is one way they've tried to make this complex tool more approachable. One could argue that having emitters being able to emit full systems as opposed to a limited Aux system is actually simpler (in that you don't have to learn two different systems), but it does also add complication in that you can have a whole chain of systems emitting systems which are emitting other systems, etc.
Stability should not be an issue. If you are experiencing problems with stability, please get in contact with our support team so we can look into the cause!
Again, thank you for your feedback. The more we hear from our users, the better our tools get.
