This is the real solution to this problem...
Just after doing this, restart your phone, and give 5 mins, the files will appear in the gallery...

Thank you so much sir. This worked and solved my problem.The .nomedia file was not there in sub folders like WhatsApp images or videos but was there inside media folder of WhatsApp. I deleted it and im able to see the folders in gallery
