    6:05 I can't believe this worked for me. I seriously can't believe I'm saying this. I've taken 4 mock tests and in all of them, I took notes extensively and was able to score around 26-27. I just tried implementing this strategy in 2 lectures and I scored all the questions correctly and took less than 10-20 seconds for each question. I was actively repeating what the professor said making my conclusion ( basically I was talking to myself) and trying to visualize all the things and connect them. This worked wonders for me. I'm gonna implement this method in all listening practice tests and see how it pans out.

      I had recorded four videos on how to use templates in the speaking section but unlisted those. If you have not watched those videos, let me know, I will send them over to you so you can watch.
      They are not public, but I can definitely share.

    Big question; how is it possible to understand the meaning of a paragraph while skimming through?

    • @pohemica
      @pohemica  Рік тому +1

      That is the beauty of academic writing. If you read the title of a passage and then first and last sentences of each paragraphs, you get the key ideas. That is the main point.
      The reason for this is, in academic writing, the main point for each paragraph is written in the first sentence. That is why the first sentence is called the topic sentence. Other sentences are usually further descriptions, examples, and details.

    • @AreenTimes
      @AreenTimes Рік тому

      I mean; in order to choose the correct answer, I have to scan through the entire paragraph for specific information, doesn't it mean that skimming is not required?

    You forgot to mention that your skills are so high. It takes a lot of time to reach that point. I assumed that you are living in an English-speaking country, so it is not a 1-month preparation.

    Hello my friend, I am using the TestAdmit website in order to prepare for the TOEFL test but there are three options there is Barron's form and TestAdmit Mock, I found both of them more difficult than TPO 1-66
    So I only use Tpo 1-66
    Because I don't want to get frustrated with the difficult question.
    And I have another question if I'm only using the test admitt website because it has TPOs, is it necessary to use best my test website?

    • @pohemica
      @pohemica  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Mahmoud Sharabaty, I am glad you have been practicing. My suggestion is, take as many practice test as you can. Take any reading passage that you find online, as each takes about 18 minutes, which, in my opinion, is not a long time. Don't be frustrated if you see low score as you practice. Just remember that it's only practice and it's fine to sometimes get a really difficult passage or low score. Practice is what trains your brain.
