Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Some descent equipment yet. All of it seems not too bad. Would make someone good units yet. Thanks for showing us around Wiley. Have a good day. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Since video came out. He moved it to another producer of his. Its back in production. Definitely some issues that needed some attention but like you said all in all it was decent iron Thanks for watching
I have a friend who retired from cat(worked always in the field) that his specialty was repairing ruined pin bores and replacing worn pins. He said the loggers were the ones who had the most destruction on their equip, and were in the biggest hurry to get the job done.
Looks like a good bit of equipment that for a chunk of repairs could be a alright back up set for an outfit. Perhaps even a second landing starter/clean up loader. Or for more, a good enough starting point for a small harvesting clearing company. If nothing else, parts for other machines.
That's some hard working equipment...gotta think some operators don't treat it like theirs and beat on it pretty good..if they own it you can bet it would be cared for... awesome content see these big machines in action.😎🇺🇸😁🚜🛠️
Wily, I just watched the video of you and Hank unloading the paper trailer. Brother you have to stop. That heat is killing you. What ever your working so hard for this late in life isn’t worth killing you. Your a awesome man and thank you for shearing these videos with us. May God bless you. P.S. stay far far away from Hank operating machinery.
Feller buncher engine looked like a C7 or C9 not 100% sure. Both engines were less then reliable. That skidder just needs a little TLC as does the knuckle boom. Overall pretty standard logging equipment conditon.
I’d be concerned about the legal definition of “abandoned”… that equipment might be old and have hours but it’s still worth a good bit. Seems hard to believe someone would just walk away from all that gear… hope he’s not in the hospital or something.
I don’t know all the details. Wood dealer was on the hook . he has moved it to another crew that works for him. I think it will be a upgrade for them Thanks for watching
What did you give him price wise for the equipment? He obviously kept it, but that's a lot of money just sitting there doing nothing. I figure the owner needed the equipment, if he moved it to another producer. Hopefully he had maintenance done on it before someone started using it.
why does this all seem sketchy ? im a third generation sawmill owner and logger . why would someone leave over $100,000 worth of equipment , never to return . i have seen it happen a few times because property owner wouldnt let them back on their property and then tried to sell it but the property owner and the person they sold equipment to ended up serving time and had to return equipment and also had to pay out the ass back to owner of equipment . im sorry a person doesnt just leave this kind of equipment thats worth as much as this equipment is and never pick it back up .
@@DontbeWily oh ok the equipment belongs to wood dealer and was helping logger start up a logging business with his equipment . i thought the equipment belonged to logger . thanks for clearing that up. just couldnt understand how a person who owned equipment would just leave it and never return lol.
well i worked in the forest industry that right there is CALLED PURE LAZYNESS FOR MAINTENANCE JUST A F,,,,,,MESS...you dont need to be rich to repack a cylinder or bolt up a panel or get the right oil cap saying the right kind of fluids,,jessus christ...and maybe weld up the steel as it cracks
Thank you, Wily, for another informative video on logging equipment.
Thanks for watching

What he do just up and shut down in a middle of tract cut??

Them jumpers are good if it starts straight up otherwise you have a cool down period all the time unfortunately
Got a ceader top all blowed out? Huh, what does that all mean?
Better not sell the equipment untill the equipment legally notified.....most states have abandoned property notification requirements
That deer was rode hard by a pack of bucks.

He did keep it

My favorite was 2007 2500 duramax

The wood dealer that helped the logger get in business is the owner. The logger just left it there.
