If Atlus realized that the P5 Protagonist/Ren/Akira DID indeed bear resemblance to Harry Potter, yes, yes they did to go along with the "You're a Persona-User, Harry!" meme and whatever other jokes the fans made from the similarity in design between the two.
I've always thought Joker possessed two alternate canon names in Akira Kurusu (which a friend of mine prefers to be the canon name) and Ren Amamiya, not to offend anyone here wanting it to be one name or another and all.
@Katsuki Is the prominent media source outside the games the reason why the anime adaptation name of Persona protagonists become the default canon name in spinoffs like Persona Dancing and Persona 4: Arena? If so, I won't be surprised if they stick to Ren Amamiya for Persona 5: Arena or if Persona 5 was to represented in Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle with Joker being the core rep alongside who knows who else (Morgana, Anna, or Ryuji, that is if they don't stick with just one rep like with Arcana Heart being solely represented by its poster girl Heart Aino).
@Katsuki What would that make of the Female P3 Protagonist Minako (and no, I've not actually watched any video on Persona Q2: Cinema Labyrinth, it's only through thumbnail videos prefers how I know through her name in text being Minako.)? Also, in theultimateone's Mass Destruction Dual Mix video, someone said that Yusuke resembled an older Minato. Is Minato supposed to be a third additional name for the Persona 3 Protagonist or am I confusing him for another character named Minato? Alternatively, is it just case of name preference or is it something else entirely different? I haven't the faintest idea!

Secondly, there was a live action play adaptation of Persona 3. I know that from TV Tropes that there were plans for a live action JoJo's Bizarre Adventure movie or something of the nature that was scrapped (might have been based on Stardust Crusaders, but I might be wrong) and that there does exist a live action adaptation of Diamond is Unbreakable, but there was a live action play of Persona 3 with the female protagonist as one of the characters in the play? And I thought Hunter X Hunter's Nightmare of Zolydyck musical was weird (again, TV Tropes. ("Kill me." "Later")) when I first saw the title at the bottom of the funny moments page for the anime/manga...
