Couldn't agree more. This boss fight has stuck with me for so long, and I owe a lot of that to this incredible track.
Even now this is still my favourite boss theme in gaming. It just fits so well with the fight itself, and the velvet room melody coming in is just so good.

Persona 4 was my first Persona game and I always think of the Velvet Room from 4 whenever I hear this x3
Velvet room use "aria of the soul" for the soundtrack, and this song, "battle for everyone's soul", is the alternate version of it. And it plays on boss battle of persona 3! 👍

Every time i hear a version of this, i can imagine Elizabeth being the one singing it for some weird reason (even if it's Belladonna? Or is it Nameless? I get confused between those two a lot)
Belladonna was the original singer Nanashi/Nameless was her piano player and lover, the original velvet room was a blues club, based on an american TV series called Twin Peaks, there is a weird dream lounge called the red room, 3 onward decided the room would change with the wildcards journey.

what's the signal chain you use for the bass? it sounds so beast!
Thanks! I used TH3 Overloud for the amp modeling, using 2 separate signal chains for the clean low end and the "crunchy" mids.
Clean: compression -> bass amp
Distorted: compression -> eq (for filtering out low end) -> tube screamer -> hi gain guitar amp

This is a cover of the Persona 3 boss battle theme called "The Battle for Everyone's Soul", which shares the same melody as "Poem of Everyone's Soul", so I can definitely see how that would be confusing. Might be a good idea to add that to the video's tags, though!
And also, The "real" name of the song is Battle Hymn of the Soul, but both names are correct iirc
