I think this format with some of the top tier tanks would be interesting, although it would be highly dependant on the HEATFS shell that they get from the start.
Really good series. Maybe also raise awareness to why it's bad for new players to buy into high tier premium jets or tanks for that matter.. I seriously think it's ruining the experience for everyone, them included
Especially theirs, top tier is hard to play requires an good understanding level of the game and mechanics. It is also kinda sad to see players leave after 1 death and 200 points.
I agree, but one major issue in rank VI jet now is the atrocious repair costs: Jaguar GR.1A(decent climb, decent roll, decent turnfighting, great missiles), being an extremely strong jet in 10.0, it has a horrendus 18k repair cost. Other examples may include the F-8E or the MiG-21MF, and I would still rather fly a premium in high rank even though I have two phantoms spaded
I am one of those players. Yes, the beginning sucks. You will not have much fun if you don't know top tier well. But there's another thing people ignore in this issue. After a few weeks you get used to top tier, and top tier, when the stars align, is x100 more fun than mid tier, especially for planes. Things are so much more fast paced and rewarding that it's hard to return to a format where it takes 10 minutes to reach the battlefield.
@@TheZeldaCinema to each their own, I suppose. I'm fairly good at top tier but I still prefer flying props, I consider them to be much more challenging, which I would suggest you do as well.. This is coming from someone who's been around for almost 10 years
Fr the US has such a high win rate right now because 90% of any other match is rank 7 MiG-23MLs
The problem isnt the crew cost or the grind, the problem is the high repair cost, even with premium is ludacrious. This is a constant with every jet on rank V and above .

There's a video idea : identify the extreme repair cost vehicles that all the tech trees are salted with. Help people avoid them or give us alternatives.
@@yankee1376 I love this idea but the video will be like 90% premium jets since those are the only ones that get repair costs under 8k.
And the high repair costs arent the only problem, due to the low sl rewards even with two or three kills if you die you will end with a negative sl balance.

Maybe, buf I personally will prefer to use La-15 to grind bis. Regular MiG-15 isn't that big step forward as some other 8.3 planes, and from my opinion isn't worth money and time to be used and spaded.
Same situation with MiG-17 - it isn't really better than 15nis, and don't worth to be spaded, bis have similar performance at lower BR.
@@PyromaN93 i agree with everything you said the mig 15 is a pretty solid aircraft but the mig-15bis is better over all and it actually have a better thrust to weigh ratio than the mig-17 i grinded rank 6 almost entirely using the la-200 and la-15 because at their br there is alot less missile bullshit
love the new series! how you've done it here is pretty much perfect!
it would also be a great opportunity to go over more obscure aircraft/tanks such as the Yak-9P and both SU-122 tanks.
Love the series. Maybe condensing the information and gameplay a little bit would make it more exciting to watch... but maybe that's just me. I love rather short and condensed videos. The idea to go stock, then half spaded and then full is really nice.
Discussing the spading experience over a montage of match highlights would be great. Important points about he aircraft/tank could be made over relevant footage.
I like this format. I feel it gives us a good idea on some aircraft and how they behave through the game and if they are worth grinding through or just using till you get the next aircraft in the tree

The MiG-15 can carry in a full uptier. Definitely a very enjoyable experience

This jet is fucking amazing! The MiG-15/17 family are some of the last truly fun jets in the game that don't seem to be bothered by the BR compression and don't need missiles or decoys or anything. They're beautiful nostalgic machines of a War Thunder time long past.

I want to see this thing compared to the Su-11 at 7.0 BR. I almost feel like the standard MiG-15 would be similar in performance.

Also glad to know even a year ago the 23 and 37mm were sparking instead of obliterating. Don't know wtf Gaijin did but the Yak-9/MiG-9-15-17 do absolutely NO damage. Friggin sparking when you hit wings. WINGS.. with 23 and 37mm.. SPARKS...

Could never hit shit with this aircraft until I used the weapon selector to turn the 37mm off then it is easy pickins

In my experience mig15-17 stock grind, wasnt that bad compared to other jets,. Due to their high acceleration, in comparison to the Sabres, much easier, also the guns once u get into them, slap hard, unlike the mgs USA counterpart.

Mig 15 is the most fun to play jet of that BR and mig 15 bis is even better. Mig 17 also. The only thing you have to do is learn how to use the cannons. It's fantastic 'migs'

I wouldn't say these are "bad" because I give them a very wide berth. I don't get into dog fights with them bc they will always win.
I’m surprised you’re not using it as an altitude fighter. Bleed their energy and sink the kill. Poor velocity and roll rate means high speed passes isn’t worth the focus

MiG-15 isn't worth to be spaded, if you have La-15. I think better to get bis variant to grind other planes at this rank, and maybe some planes at next. Just because bis have better performance just at one BR stage forward, and mostly fight ± same enemies.
Defyn says that la15 is worse cuz uptiers into sabres and mig can fuck them while la15 cannot
Pulling high G doesn't equal higher turn rate. Much like the Hunter you can be pulling 8+ G and barely be turning at all.

For me it would be better if you weren't doing the commentary while you're playing. Would like to see something more organized. Want to see the advantages and disadvantages of the vehicle. What manuvers you are doing and why. Basically a guide on flying the plane that you are covering.
I grew up flying Mig-15’s, 17’s and 21’s in all kinds of different games and they’ve become my most successful aircrafts, to the point that my friends who play WT refuse to dogfight me in them 😂

Is the German MiG-15 bis worth it?
Yes. Better engine means you can climb much faster and you can stall fight almost anyone

Oh no! Dont do this! This thing can be outrated by a B29!
It's just a missile bus that can get some Headon kills the yak-38m is literally a glass Cannon and because it's performance is a little bit better than the premium one it gets a higher battle rate and even at 9.3 you will get bullied by everyone that has at least 2 braincells

@@thelingeringsoul4301 Yes it's lol even the mig-21f-13 is better imo you literally can't defend yourself you just have to accept defeat when someone is behind you, you can reverse them and get like 1 or 2 shots with vtol but if you Miss you're dead and even if you manage to hit you will take too much time to accelerate and become an easy target
In my experience, the way the game stands for now, MiG-15, MiG-15bis and MiG-17 just plain suck, the absolute constant uptiers makes them unplayable, you cant catch anyone, incredibly quite a few aircraft can outturn you, roll rate is awful so enemies have a really easy time avoiding your guns, your only chances are catching up to distracted enemies or enemies that are already in a dogfight, against a competent enemy, you will die nearly always, plus the locking up above ~750Km/h doesnt really helps at all, and how 8.0+ matches work, dogfights MUST be over in about two or three turns or else you get swarmed by enemes, even with teams close by there isnt any space/time for proper dogfighting, so you become quite useless, a support plane at best, but cant do anything on your own and 1v1s odds are nearly always against you.
Usually the only kills you get are ones where the enemy massively fucks up, so you are very dependent on enemy fuck up and teammates, and that just sucks.
Plus in Air SB you always fight against opponents with missiles and radars, and the lack of equipment in your plane means you cant effectively counter that, so you'll always be at a huge disvantage.
Very unfun planes to fly overall, and it pains me because I think the MiG-15 is such a cool aircraft.
This and the MiG-17 are so painful to fly... The MiG-9 is friggin better and the MiG-9 couldn't even fire it's guns irl
In the mig 15 dont tail someone for a long time if they roll disengage and reboomnz them
I don't like most migs cause of their shapes especially their noses.
The uptier BS ruins entire vehicles! You cannot take out the King Tiger for example, because you just face IFVs with ATGMs and Helicopters in your slow WWII Tank, and you will never get a downtier because nobody plays 6.0. Or the other day when I flew out my SU7 and got a message from the enemy team that a BVR missile from a phantom was on the way to me, and exploded a millisecond later… you have zero chance of dodging, no RWR or any chaff or flairs, but here we go you have to face enemies waaaaaay more capable that you and they call it fair because you can rape other players in a downtier to… what a mess and they will never change their stupid system. I Play WT since 2013, participated in the ground alpha since day one and am shocked what a complete joke WT has become.
