Great job breaching the conversation. 15 years Enlisted, E6(P) and 16 as an OCS commissioned Officer. I’m still serving. Had a 1SG that wanted to grow officers from a pool of leaders! My PSG was awesome too! Even as an O1E, I listened to him to understand risk and decision making. You have to know your troops and not just their ability and capability! You have to ask them questions that will create sincere dialog, creative decision making and remember what they tell you. Ultimately, trust is paramount to a good leader and the troops they lead.
