On a buck, this happened to me back in grade two. I was being slow during the in-class homework session trying to solve math problems and as a kid I was slow when it came to problem solving. I ended up being the last one in class who hadn't finished and my teacher lost her shit and started yelling at me asking me why I'm so slow and pretty much insulting a child. I ended up crying and she didn't even try to comfort me, she just gave me a lecture on why I shouldn't be slow during lunch. I told my mom afterwards and she ripped her a new one. Stay safe kids.

Had a teacher freak out once because no one ever raised their hands to answer. She was actually a really cool lady though and didn't deserve all the shit she got. Me and a few others started trying to answer even if we were wrong and she appreciated it. Even had me and a few others right a short essay about our lives instead of doing the final test.
This is one of the reasons I hated school so much. I was such a slow learner and I would constantly ask questions and for explanations. They never hid their irritation with me for asking so much, so then eventually I just stopped asking, missed many days of school, and just began hating school altogether. It's a miracle I even got my High School Diploma. So I decided to keep what I had, and stay stupid.
Teachers don't realize how much that stuff sticks. It raises the stakes and makes no one want to even try (And Then they get upset when no one participates). That bleeds over into other classes and even goals. It took me a long time to accept that it's okay to be wrong because that's how you learn and no one is born knowing everything. Except Chung Su
