i’m an old school skater and i love the raw feeling of hub motors. Spent 800 on a Tynee Stinger yet I’m enjoying my $400 Ultra SL way more. Both great boards for different needs
Thanks for your great video Drew. Tynee ultra is a budget board. But we still use flagship technology and design to produce it, currently within $500. Except for Tynee and Exway, no one specifically makes a unique heat sink and integrates the ESC into it (just for better performance), which stem from Tynee's ultimate pursuit of product quality. No one is using a 12S 259Wh big battery at the price of $419 (discounted at $399), and no one use the latest hobbywing ESC with an app in their budget boards. because Tynee always insists on not placing online advertising, saving advertising costs and reducing prices to give back to consumers. Business competition is always complex, but we insist on doing the right thing to make customers spend the least money to buy the best priced product, This is the meaning of our existence. Thank you for your great video ❤❤❤
I have to ask, is the board's battery capacity actually what is advertised? My friend got the Ultra 3 with the upgraded "345wh" battery, but when he rode it alongside my 216wh board, it only got 23km, whereas when he tried my board, he got 21km.
@ruhtraeel range is always subjective to so many factors. Riders weight, speed you ride at, area you ride in ( hills, flat lands) weather even, warmer days or colder days can make a massive difference. Also battery types as well, motor power if your motors are less in power it’ll save on battery as well. So when you see the claims that companies post understand that should tell you somewhere on the website what the testing conditions were. Most likely they were ideal and in a lower speed setting with a lighter rider. Hope that helps you out a bit
@@ruhtraeel Hi. Yes. If you ordered the 345.6Wh battery. You will get the 345.6Wh battery. But usually 345.6wh Tynee ultra comes with bigger 105 wheels. Compared to smaller 90mm wheels. Bigger wheels will have better comfort but shorter range. So that’s the reason. Thank you
This board should rip Meepo's V3S apart. The 12s2p battery for 419$ is a descent entry level board value. I think you've reviewed wowgo 2s max, its about the same price and similar battery specs. I think comparing them would be fair
For the braking. Tynee ultra hub motor board will have stronger braking than other hub motor boards on the market. Because we use 12S high voltage power system. So we can use the lower KV motor than other brands. And the hobbywing V7.0 ESC has better braking than the previous version. So all of these result in a very good braking hub motor board. After you try it you will know it ❤❤❤
@Tyneeboard As I'm a complete beginner, at 62, and the terrain here is very wavy, up a d down slopes all the time, ... how steep can it be and still have good breaking power to a stop ?
Stinger for power and range would be better, this board is fun but you won’t get the most out of the range being a heavier rider like me, worth the upgrade to the stinger definitely
@@DrewElia i received this Tynee today just to have some longboard style and will order stinger too. Can you please tell me if changing wheels in Ultra can make it less vibrating from any uneven road? Or it is a problem of the hub style motor?
5:01. Sadly i feel like the electric skateboard community is dying due to many reasons. A lot of skateboarders switch to euc’s, then people’s boards only last 1 year after many expensive repairs. This is an expensive hobby and people are tired spending extra money on a $1000+ boards
EUC are fun, but I won’t ever give up on esk8. and EUC have more problems with failure due to being on the bleeding edge of tech. Cut outs and what not happen on and EUC your going down hard. If a skate board fails you have four wheels 😆 plus the price of skateboards compared to EUC is way cheaper. You get more options in the skate market. It’s a good hobby to get into eventually you can build your own board and get exactly what you want out of it
@@DrewElia even with the (rare) chance of a cut-out, EUCs to me are still safer (and not to mention far more capable), besides most cut-outs are due user errors like ignoring warning beeps... in saying that I'm now waiting for the delivery of our 1st esk8 boards (Tynee Stinger/boosted105 and Ultra) so I can then speak about how far more superior EUCs are from 1st hand experience :) Have 8 EUCs currently of various sizes, from 10kg mten3 to 46kg Commander Pro, and many more motorcycles on top of that, including a sidecar outfit :) ...also had a OneWheel XR briefly but even the cheaper mten4 is far more capable, comfortable and fun, so got rid of it. Looking forward to inconspicuous cruising that the Tynee boards will give, on the EUC I constantly get looks/comments as there isn't a single other one around (unless my sisters are riding with me), gets tiring! I have heard/read somewhere that esk8s can suddenly lock up wheels if the remote looses connection - its all new to me, is that just applicable to some brands, maybe evolve?
EUCs feel nothing like electric skateboards. For me that’s a deal breaker as the entire reason I ride a board is for that carving feeling. Also while no one really looks cool on an esk8, EUC riders look like clowns 😂

There is a board for everyone. I say it all the time. No board is a fit all situation

Just purchased a tynee ultra hub and one swaging factor was tyneee’s way of doing business.

They are both 12s2p you’re correct! It would be an interesting head to head!
*Awesome decision by Tynee to offer some more budget options,* with the same amazin quality.

3:38 Needed this to help change my remote setting for my wheel diameter. THANK YOU SO MUCH 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You, are very welcome!
Loving my Tynee mini hub. I hope to see Tynee Direct drive soon. Nice rev bro 🤘
Oh that would be interesting !
Nice solid board, I have the belt version, I love the deck but I’m 130 lbs so it’s perfect but deff could be a little wider but happy with it overall
Totally agree! Belt drive is even more comfortable imagine! thanks for checking out the video mate!
How is the pushing on the belt board?
I would like to see the hub vs belt version.
Also I would like to see (nobody did this yet) a test of the brake on a downhill
Breaking Downhill on just any board?

I am 193 cm and 95 kg weight, maybe Stinger is a better option for me? I have skateboarding/snowboarding expirience but never tried any electrical.

Cloud wheels just came out with a 105 hub wheel. I did a review on them as well! Check out my channel just posted it recently !
Would be great with a Wowgo 2S MAX vs Tynee Ultra Hub comparison!
My WowGo 2s max is actually deck swapped 😆 so it wouldn’t be exact match
Stuck between 2s max and tynee ultra hub 😢
Both good choices, the Tynee team has incredible customer service!
Got the tynee, thanks 💪🏾
I was stuck with this decision as well, went with tynee!
Are hub motors connected to a special voltage (like 10s, 12s or 14s) or can you connect them to any type of system?
It’s a 12s battery not sure what they are rated for above that
