That's some good footage of the Jacksonville FL location. Pretty cool they still used stuff from the prototype/beta Rock Afire Explosion like the drums, keyboard, sign, props, and the things for the backdrop. The only thing that seemed to be updated at that point was the valence and the characters on stage.
You can tell how old this recording is just from the cars at the beginning, lol. It’s amazing to me how when you forget about all the mechanical workings inside them, these characters really do feel ‘alive’. Going down to “that pizza place with the cool singing robot animals” in early 1980’s Florida feels like such a vibe…
Glad you got to share this with us, it's sad to see a lot of these animatronics being neglected nowadays, they looked so fluid and life like back then, and so immersive and fun, and now Showbiz Pizza was converted to Chuck E Cheese (Nothing rong with CEC just liked Showbiz Pizza better) but now Chuck E Cheese has a stupid dance floor to look at while you eat, and even before they took them out the animatronics were so stiff and the suits were falling apart and the pneumatics were running out of lifespan slowing them down and making the movements less fluid, and the visuals suck, it's sad to see what was once a flourishing pizza place with lots of cool art, visuals, arcade games, animatronics, and good times that's now a dance floor with zero animatronics (the most iconic part) and oh the tokens were amazing as well, used to hold a stash of em' now you have to use cards, they don't have that feel that the tokens have just taking your tokens out of your pockets while there loaded with tokens inserting them into the arcade machine, and if you had a parent or sibling you would most likely divide tokens equally, many good times but we must move on now, people who have never went to Chuck E Cheese or Showbiz Pizza nowadays probably will never know what it was like... but we can look to the people who are restoring them and bringing them back one by one.
No, they THINK nobody watches their shows, they clearly don’t know the love of animatronics, they didn’t even put that much effort into the reopening of northridge when that location got 2.0
Its decades later and it was private to family, but this is a important piece of history of the Showbiz Pizza Place, it shows the good times and the day that people would've had in that diner, and after it closed footage was probably scarce and rare, so they uploaded it.
Judging by its age (no newer than the turn of the 90s, since that's when Rock-Afire ceased to exist), I think it's a safe assumption that the kid _is_ the uploader.
@@PhirePhlame that's a possibility for sure but if not it's questionable tho would maybe be considered ok as it's preserving history that is soon to be forgotten

I have a feeling this video is gonna blow up in views, I'm sure lots of people would love to see this footage and learn what being there felt like.

Super nice footage, looks like the show was finishing playing the Country 2 show-tape before going into the birthday shows.
HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!!!
Thank you so much for uploading this
THIS is prime showbiz, and cec wonders why nobody watches the show

They sung the melted moose song
I wonder where the birthday host doing all the spins is today! 😂
Yeah, that part kinda blew my mind! Pretty cool.
im surprised that the beta logo is there
and the old sign in the rock-afire
Strange exterior signage on the restaurant.
16:24 Does anyone know what song Billy Bob singing? I would love to hear an Higher Quality version!!
It's original song written by Aaron Fechter for the RAE called Oh Dawn.
Mitz should’ve been screaming the AAAAAA A O A stuff😂😂😂
Epic
I hope that party host got a raise GG
This is the only location that has the beta stage with the beta sign and beta keyboard. I don’t know any other places that have it though
I’m sure there’s like 5 locations that had it
@@JG1universe oh. right.
6:15 YOU SEEN THAT LITTLE DUDE THROWING THOSE BALLS?!
It's not that bad but it's a game that's called skee ball and you have to throw the ball into the Cubs and the cups a 100 and 1000 or 2000 at a arcade
suprised they still have the beta sign and keyboard cover

There’s always that one uncalled for negative comment 😂
@roselynnsanders4458 how do you figure? I understand preserving history but if this was my kid I would question having it be viewed by the public
