- For years, Chuck E. Cheese management has made it their mission to prevent their animatronics from getting into the hands of private collectors, and yet they have failed time and time again. So how did we get here?

I saw your animatronics from the writing music with dumb instruments video
I think you should repurpose some of those robots into FNAF animatronics. For example, Jasper can become Bonnie, Mitzi can become Chica, and Rolf can become Foxy. I don't know who will Freddy take on, maybe he can be a repurposed Chuck...
Aren't you the Otamatone guy???

We still do have chuck E cheese roadshows
The fact of how desperate the chuck e cheese company was to get rid of the animatronics is very fnaf-like

You'd think that with the rise and popularity of Five Nights at Freddy's, Chuck E. Cheese would have capitalized on that success and actually decided to take care of their animatronics. Hell, FNAF is the only reason I even know about The Rock-afire Explosion and Showbiz Pizza in the first place. Aaron even made a video on his UA-cam channel years ago, where he threw a FNAF themed birthday for a kid named Blake: ua-cam.com/video/d_ba2Omq6II/v-deo.htmlsi=fuyWlgQ-SWo9hK6Y
I think it's a similar reason why they wanted to completely destroy the animatronics and keep them away from the access of public
They didn't want to share profits with Scott for character licensing
They could’ve maybe replaced the base animatronics with fnaf themed ones like Freddy and the others for Halloween to capitalize off its success and making the animatronic scene huge
@@XMitrilXPL there's nothing to liscense

Because they would have been more recognizable if they wanted to invest heavily in animatronics.
Othewresiwe they would have to upgrade characters they already own, and their popularity isn't a guarantee to be big enough or lasting enough(unlike FNAF which constantly gets new content), to make a profit.

the thing is, it's sad to see that CEC don't care about preserving their past. But hey, at least there are many people that try to restore and preserve the animatronics.
Even if only a single eyeball of Chucky remains, someone could reverse-engineer one easily
CEC has always been very budget conscious. From a business standpoint they were deemed too much cost for not enough return.
The thing is, they totally could have preserved 2 or 3 bands and made them hot tourist attentions because of their exclusivity. Aaron Fechter makes money giving private showings of his band, doing tours of his workshop, and even programing the bots to say personalized phrases. CEC could probably make a whole Chuck-E museum to appeal to parents who want to teach their kids about engineering, young fnaf fans, and people who're just nostalgic. Nostalgia always sells. My guess is that they're just too far in the hole and too scared it would fail, or they just genuinely can't figure out how to restore and maintain the animatronics (to their standards) since Creative Engineering left and they're too cheap or skeptical to hire someone.
Imagine inviting someone over for the first time and their reaction realizing your house is just full of Chuck E Cheese animatronics

The nearest location to me still has an animatronic , A lone chuck who stands on a separate stage from the TV's, who just looks around. He doesn't sing, talk or do anything besides blinking and moving his head from side to side. Quite sad when his friends were up with him, singing and having fun.

It's kinda sad seeing Chuck E Cheese's Animantronics being messed up but this is good history.
I would love to see more animatronic content from you! It saddens me seeing what chuck e cheese is doing just to make sure nobody gets their hands on animatronics.
Ive been a fan of animatronics for years now
I love the fact the a bigger youtuber actually likes and cares for C.E.C and R.A.E animatronics
Its kinda surprising they didn't auction them off because they could've made a lot of money from it.
My dad actually was hired by Chuck E Cheese to do the electric work of the remodeling for phase 2.0, and they were very strict. For instance. They weren't allowed to record or take photos during work hours. They weren't allowed to take anything with Chuck E cheeses' name on it or anything considered Chuck E cheese memorabilia. I was super upset I couldn't get the fursuit, but luckily, we were allowed to keep the chairs, lol.
“Move the animatronics to stores that have animatronics for parts”

It’s a shame that the corporation is so determined to wipe these from the earth! They are amazing pieces of history and somebody worked hard to bring those characters to life! There are many people who would pay top dollar for them too!!
The old animatronics would make an amazing exhibit in a museum as well...there's just so many great things that they could have done to preserve them!
Yeah and they were Aaron creation first then to see them get Destroyed that's like a middle finger to the face the guy that gave the rights to chuck e cheese Aaron from showbiz pizza

That was a awesome ending to the video. I love jasper’s dumb face wave at the camera like if he was saying “Hi Showbiz, I’m right here. Ahyug!”
Thank you so much for talking about this!! As someone with a niche obsession with animatronics sparked by FNaF years ago, eventually developing into full passion separate from FNaF all together, it makes incredibly distressed how little Chuck E. Cheese cares about their history. Even Disney is way better about this stuff.
You didn't even go over the countless pizza time theatre cosmetics and full animatronics that have actually been entirely destroyed. Some survived but some are just gone forever.
I still don't understand why Chuck E. Cheese cares so much in the first place, since it's not like they'll be competing against animatronic shows anymore if their plan is to remove all animatronics. If it's the IP they care so much about, why don't they just strip and incinerate the cosmetics and then auction off the animatronics themselves? They'd be indistinguishable from the countless still existing RAE animatronics in circulation, which they don't even own the rights to. Then they'd even make a few extra bucks from the auctions, rather than burning money by destroying them. It makes me mad and I think more people should be aware of it. Maybe if enough people cared and made noise about it, it would impact their (non-existent) profits or something, idk.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the original 70’s portrait animatronics that were on display at corporate headquarters for some time but were half destroyed because of intellectual property during a renovation but they were actually on loan from a woman who owned them.
Fortunately Chuck and Crusty survived and were eventually bought by a collector.
Jeez, this is insane. I’m happy to see that people like you and Jack are preserving these pieces of history. Also love how this video ends…First, Thomas Elmers, then Rory Felton, and now…Chuck E. Cheese, let’s dance!
Its really sad that they're doing that. Animatronics cost so much and they're so cool. For them to just destroy them like that is CRAZY to me, such a waste
A while ago i was obsessed with chuck e cheese animatronics and history, but now that all of the animatronics are gone i just couldn't keep supporting them
I've been in the CEC community for a while now and it's always been one of my biggest interests, its always great to see things like this be saved and more people to learn about this companies history and actually appreciate tha art of animatronics and how special they are.
I can't fault CEC for the decision to remove animatronics as they have fallen out of popularity within the past 20 years. I'm still glad to be a part of a community that still cares and wants to preserve its history.

It’s nice to see there’s people who are committed to restoring and taking care of these shows and even restoring them fully. I know there’s never a guarantee way to make something last forever but sometimes I wish there were still legacy restaurants to visit a snapshot of time. Like the 70s version? I would have loved to just watch those routines.

... So Corporate wanted to get rid of the animatronics as a cost saving measure, and saw people trying to buy or salvage them for large sums of money... and thought to destroy them rather than auction them off?
Like I get it may not be a large sum of money compared to their typical renvue and it being a niche market of collectors, but at least some profit could be made or even just reduce the cost of destroying the animatronics by only destorying the ones that weren't sold in an auction or something
They could've made a few million at least
Yeah I’ve never understood this. Whenever they take the animatronics out, they put in a dance floor in their place. I feel like if they’d auctioned off the animatronics, they could’ve used some of that auction money to help cover the costs of the dance floors, but I guess not. 🤷♀️
I very well enjoyed this video and learned about how desperate the corporate side of Chuck E Cheese to destroy history. The whole Billy Bob just being taken home is a funny thing to me. Kinda reminds of how there is a place here in West Virginia called Billy Bob's Wonderland which basically straight up refused to do concept unification. Instead just changed the name.
its a shame Billy Bob's Wonderland then stopped giving a damn about maintaining their animatronics for a very long time. I've heard that recently they're in better condition cosmetic wise, not sure how well they are mechanically though, but it sucks that it took them this long to bother fixing them.
@Makaponpon recently went, they are starting to need repairs, for instance, Rolfe's mask had a crack in it, and billy bob's eyelids are too far down where he gives a pissed look.
bruh that reveal at the end... I'm happy to see that someone else cares about these animatronics too, they look great by the way, and I wanna say thank you for sharing these with us and not letting them go forgotten..

Hello GSully !
To correct a bit of misinformation, Robert Brock was not a founder of CEC. He signed up to be the largest franchisee of CEC's Pizza Time Theatre stores. This was a year or two after PTT incorporation.
Robert had also been the largest franchisee of Holiday Inns previous to signing up for the PTT franchise. But when Bob attended the annual IAAPA trade show, he saw Aaron's animatronics, and chose to break away from CEC franchising. Thus began the lawsuit and counter-lawsuit.
I know this information because I was the 7th PTT, Inc Corporate office employee after Nolan bought the assets from Warner Communications in 1978.

I just recently a few months ago left my amazing job at Chuck E Cheese. It was the best job I've ever had, but during my time there, we went from a Studio C to a Dance Floor.
