He's the calmest gamer you've ever heard, he's the chilled out video game nerd.
+RetroGamerAaron I absolutely love your profile pic and rhyme.
He's gonna take you back to the past
To beat the frustrating games that kicked your ass
and the best message ever "if I can beat it so can you"
+RetroGamerAaron I look at him as AVGN's counterpart~
+RetroGamerAaron I like it. We now dub you the Chilled-Out Video Game Nerd! *WHOOP WHOOP! WHOOP WHOOP!*
the Bob Ross of NES
+Buddy OG happy beats
+Buddy OG But where's the 'fro?
+Buddy OG HEADCANON ACCEPTED
Scary how accurate that is...
+Buddy OG He just beat the devil out of levels 11 and 12
He's gonna take you back to the past
To beat frustrating games that kicked your ass.
He'd rather be chilled, in control
To beat the games that have frustrated us all.
He'd rather teach each single gamer
How-to do the hard parts and still entertain us.
He's the calmest gamer you've ever heard,
He's the chilled out video game nerd.
The legend is back!
+SupaNintendoGirl You're back
***** It will be up on Tuesday! :)

Well, not "back" back. This was recorded the same day as the other 3 parts. They just didn't upload this part until now, which was recorded months ago.

@14:53 "She'll fall down and when she does, try to get a quick hit on her"
Best out of context quote in the video
Boots talks to you like a mentor, and he has serious chops. Probably one of the best celebrity let's players.
Finally, this was uploaded! I watched parts 1-3 the other day, and was like "where the hell is the last part??" Thought you'd abandoned it. We love ya Boots. You're actually really good at games, and your calm demeanor is the perfect balance for this channel.
8:57 that sigh. The frustration is real. It's awesome how he can be calm and collected doing this.
If there was a Walkthrough Grammy this series would be top pick.
He really is like the Bob Ross of Video Games. That's awesome. xD His voice is calm and makes you feel like you can get through even the hardest of games! :)
"If you're having trouble with anything and you find difficulty in any level.. just keep practicing"
Gotta love that line. So simple, but so true.
If you're having difficulty on the Clinger Winger stage, just pause the game right as you're hitting a corner, press the d-pad in the new direction, and unpause. As long as you pause the game at the right moment, you'll hit the turn every time. It takes a little getting used to, but isn't too difficult, and is the only real option if you can't play the game on a CRT TV with an original console.
God dammit thank you so much, I finally beat the game thanks to your tip
Bring this back bring this back bring this back
I agree💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
lol the the way he says "just keep practicing" at the end is so endearing
I finally beat the game tonight without using any warps or continues. It took me nearly a year and a half of playing the game regularly, but I finally did it! On my last life too. It is an awesome feeling to beat the game in its entirety, knowing that there are so few who have done it.
That is amazing my friend.
bootsey is my inspiration for being calm and collected
I like the serious tone used in this video, like a documentary of how to beat the game
What a great walkthrough, dude. You seem like a cool guy!
The Bob Ross of gaming period. Though he does swear, but he swears with a sense of "well, i want to assume there's pressure and frustration" so it's not so intimidating more like the soft "dammit I screwed up, try it again". It works great. It also just shows that he's had that frustration too.
That lousy Clinger Winger level was the end of the road for me in Battletoads, I never knew what to do, or had enough continues left to figure it out.
same I can't seem to get the timing down. I can get a little further if I switch to an Advantage controller because the joystick is easier to control, but I still can't get that far. lol
@@CMRetroGaming Holding down a direction key then pressing it again just as you turn is the best way to deal with such on modern TVs.
I could do it easily on an AV Famicom or Retrochamp with an actual cart, but Rare Replay on Xbox One was tough until I practiced this specifically.
Silver Surfer, Back to the Future Part 3, and now Battletoads... Booty's gaming skills are superhuman!
This playthrough was done with NO WARPS or Continues and only took half a year!
Look forward to the next Boots Beats coming 2019!
Battletoads is a strange, tedious test of awkward game design. Booty's voice fits the game perfectly.
Board James: A clumsy oaf that always messes up on a board game
Real Life: Can beat Battletoads on the NES with a calm attitude
I got this game at my 8th birthday anniversary, I've beat the dark queen when I was 18.
A lot of inputs are still carved into my brain 22 years later!
The level design of the last level is just... I don't know, "amazing" isn't enough. And we're talkin' about 1991. This game is a real masterpiece. Yes, hard as shit, but still a masterpiece.
Great series enjoyed watching them all. Brought back a lot of memories. Hope to see you make more!
Is there anymore of these??? I really enjoyed these series
Finally! All of Halifax has been waiting for this video. You make me happy.
Please do mike Tysons punch out
Mike beat Tyson already
***** it's pretty easy to get to Tyson, sandman and Tyson are the only ones who are really challenging
+Jim26D Machoman is pretty fucked too.
jkuebler89 8th part of UltraJman's playthrough says it all.
Awesome finale, sir. I hope you do more videos like these.
Your voice is so calm and nice!
This is the closest I've seen in a long time to a "Classic" type of Let's Play.
Very informative, very well made, very good.
13:45 - tornado rex, ready for the ride!
I really enjoyed this series. Well done.
A very creatively made and innovative game (its level design, platforming challenges, game mechanics, etc), and a sign of things to come in later Rare games like Donkey Kong Country
god damn boys, part 4 took forever to come out! thank ya though.. ive been waiting on this forever!
That was AWESOME!
I WANT MOAR!
+Cartuchito agora o sr.wilson tem que fazer gameplay desse jogo :v
I cant! You got some jeezes fingaz there...well done!
This reminds me of my childhood summer when I spent nearly 3 weeks playing the hell out of this game. Thanks for the memories
OM*G... I've been waiting for this episode for so long.. finally!! can't wait to watch this.. wooohoo! :D
I did beat that game back in the days. IT WAS HARD AS F...! But when i did it......ooohhhh, best feeling in the world! Great game.
I like his voice :D it's so calm
I loved it. Could watch it all day long although I am not even gonna play this.
you are the bob ross of gaming
I felt so relaxed watching this awesome video. I still cant beat the bike level though but now i wanna try it again!
Can't believe I started watching this out on my patio during the summer and I'll finally get to finish it two weeks before xmas. :P
I love his commentary. I hope this becomes a series on here.
Finally, i've had the NES on pause for months!!!
wow I love this series so far , it's different, it's helpful and its done well look forward to more of this great job
Thank you Bob Ross!! Great guide. Glad you finally finished it.
I know you've got a job outside of Cinemassacre. I really appreciate you make the time to make content for us
Probably the most chill dude I've seen in a while.. Great vid! Battletoads for life!
I'd love more videos from you. your step by step instructions are great.
great video
no bullshit, no attempts at comedy, just a video about a video game
keep these coming!
Dude youre the best. Thank you for these
the long awaited part 4 had arrived. FINALLY THE BOOT HAS COME BACK to UA-cam.......
Nice series of videos for this difficult game. I played Punch Out on the NES Classic and had noticable input lag. Didn't know it was a HDTV issue. Thanks for the tips. :)
Damn that took awhile. I wouldn't care except I'm really liking this series and it's got potential!
Dude... You're like the Bob Ross of video games. This is awesome! Keep doing what you do, man.
Sound advice at the end. "Just do it, nerd."
This game is really well done for a NES game. You wouldn't usually think that things such as the spinning tower could be programmed very well on such an old console.
This guy just got added to the apocalypse team. Wow.
sounds like i'm watching a documentary on how to beat battletoads
Finally! Been waiting for this every day since the last episode!
So peaceful. The videogame jesus.
The final level's change of perspective on the pillar is very impressive for a NES game.
You're like the Bob Ross of Video games. Hope to see more.
I would love to see more of these. A quick, yet detailed walkthrough .
This game was always a 1 level game for me and then it would go right back to BlockBuster sunday night lol
Fuck, makes you wonder what else nitty could accomplish with such high fidelity, this guy should get in some record book or something
You beat it, I just sat on my ass in awe.
Please do more of these! They are great and I love the smooth demeanor :)
What will he play next? Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts? That's what I'd want to see!
+0ion Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts isn't that bad actually. Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the Arcade/Genesis/etc is a lot harder.
great series dude! Keep it coming. :)
This is the equivalent of an academic paper in quantum physics.
I thought u guys forgot to finish this series lol I went ahead nd took on the last few levels myself by watching the video u did W James and Mike were u beat it ND I was finally able to finish this game I did it like two months ago best feeling in the world but thanx for ur helped o u I nvr would have done it
Holy crap... maxed out the score and everything. Nice job!
Please do more of these!
Now move onto ninja gaiden
Good choice.
+Nunya bizness yeah but without the Jump/Slash item.
Most people say Ninja Gayden!
Ha ha ha! "Why were you running away from it to begin with?" Good point.
I think the orb is fighting dirty, refusing to acknowledge a fair loss.
This was the comfiest walkthrough ever. Loved it.
Have really enjoyed this series. Definitely picked up a lot of tips, as well as from other videos and discovering a few on my own. Unforgiving as it is I don't actually find battletoads to be an overly difficult game ... dont get me wrong It is an unforgiving mofo, but 90% of it is memorisation so once you get that down, it's smooth sailing from there. Happy to give pointers if anyone's still have trouble ...
FINALLY! :3 I've waited for so long!! :)
If you set @7:09 as your ringtone you will never fail in life.
Finally, I've been patiently waiting for this
I still remember the Hobby Consolas magazine review for this game, it ended "...and technically genial, this game consolidates as the best of NES, above even Super Mario Bros. 3". If you want a challenge, try Mission: Impossible for NES btw.
Glad this is finally out!
Welcome back, Bob Ross!
that moment when people are playing along and find out near the end that they need a CRT to beat it XD
+sinephase I don't know if you need a CRT, but a lot of HDTVs have some issue with lag... The larger ones particularly... Mine doesn't seem too bad, but I haven't really compared... Maybe I should try... It's a pain to mess with my setup though ^_^;; Playing Mario All Stars on my TV does feel a bit more slippery than I remember when I was a kid, but then I played the NES versions and it was a long long long time ago... I dunno... Might just be that I'm using the run button more lol But yeah, there probably is some HDTVs or monitors that are good enough.
+sinephase A good computer monitor works fine. Buy one that people use for CS:GO, and you shouldn't have any problems.
+sinephase The best PC monitors are actually pretty good (and cheaper than TVs) and is what they use at big fighting game tournaments like EVO.
There's a "displaylag" website where you can read more about this and also find a charts and reviews for most popular models.
Also, even the best upscalers like the XRGB or Framemeister add a bit of input lag too.
His voice is so peaceful, I love it.
Well done man..
This game is way too infuriating for me 😁
I thought this game was hard. Until I watched these videos. So far, I've finished it 5 times with one warp each.
@@Matt-Rat You sir are an absolute legend! ;D
@@calebdonaldson8770 That's not all, sir. I beat Silver Surfer, Adventures of Bayou Billy, TMNT, and Ninja Gaiden 3 (Hardest in the trilogy.)
Yo that guy used to work with me at AMC Theatres!
The lollipop kicked my ass for so long. For whatever reason, maybe I was getting too close, but ramming it often resulted in me getting hit, too. I figured out that simply waiting for the lollipop and punching it is effective as well.
Stage 11 was really difficult for me because when changing directions, I'd often slightly hit another direction at the same time, slowing me down. I realized this most often happened when I had to move to the left, so I had to take my thumb off the d-pad to make sure I didn't accidentally hit up or down as well. Of course, removing your thumb at all slows you down, so this stage killed my thumb. While practicing, I had to actually pause the game in the middle of the stage to give my thumb a break. If anyone else does this, make sure you're pushing the direction you need to be going before you unpause, otherwise you'll slow down briefly regardless of how fast you are.
What a pain.
I was waiting for this video solong. Thanks man !
He got the max score too lol
I mean, I don't know how you can go above 999999
@@-RAYZ- You cannot get a higher 6-digit whole number score than 999,999.
3:41 that Gregory Abbott record is a classic.
i believe last level is a tribute to one old game called Tower Toppler, and colors are especially matching PC version.
my goodness! you deserve a major award of some kind!!!
Man Cinemassacre is really pushing out content lately, loving this so much. And a new nerd is coming up for Christmas.
Finally! waiting for this since forever
