I remember playing that quest mentioned at the end. It seemed like most other quests: go here, defeat x, return for reward. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention or explore enough, but I did not get the full weight of the quest and what it meant for Tamriel. This video truly makes that quest feel like one of the most important ones in the game. Thank you for these videos. Bethesda should add cut scene videos like this in game as options for players who want to explore the lore more in-depth while playing. Maybe as a companion follower, or a magical all-knowing pet like, oh, I don't know, a red beaked raven.
Haha, thanks, Jack, and I do like that idea! Maybe the Story of... Gaiden Shinji would tie it all together. Working out what exactly to do with this series as we speak, so maybe that will come, but it's a question of when.
That might have sounded slightly condescending. I really love your videos especially the one on tiber Septim. I was just trying to say it might help to add some shorter videos so people can get into it without watching a 30 min video
Thanks, Justin, I see your point. I'm always trying to reduce the time without sacrificing info and quality, it's one of the many challenges writing possesses. However, I do enjoy making the longer videos and I think it's somewhat unavoidable given the amount of information. I try to tell the stories of other characters within these videos, like Potema Septim's one tells the story of her, but also Pelinal Whitestrake and Morihaus. The way I try to combat the length for those who don't like longer videos is that I've started to put chapters in. It may work for some, but I suppose we'll find out once I release the first series/batch later this year. Thanks for the comment anyways, glad you enjoy the videos!
I disagree. I found ShoddyCast's video too short for my liking, so I searched to see if someone had made a longer video. There's a lot of info in this one that isn't properly explained or even mentioned in ShoddyCast's video, like the part about Potema giving away the enchanted necklace for example. I can see why some people would like shorter videos, absolutely, but I would suggest they watch ShoddyCast's lore series, as they're (usually) shorter in length.
@@redbeakraven By the Nine, Martin Septim himself!.......nice idea, but you do a great job. Keep them coming. If you take requests for video subject matter, I'll punt some ideas your way.
@@annakateputter_littlered Thanks! Not taking requests at this moment in time, mostly because I've plenty on the list already, but thanks for the offer.
See Ep1. in the new batch of Story of... episodes - ua-cam.com/video/9nWhyPxptBM/v-deo.html
These videos deserve more attention. You do good work, man, bravo.
4 years later, but I’m ever so grateful for this video! Thank you for your work on it, was exactly what I was looking for.
You put a lot of work into this video and it only has 300 views? You're underrated. But keep this good work going because I love this TES lore videos
Thanks a lot, Jamima, I hope I can dish out more as time goes on.
Good video!
Thanks a bunch Imperial, appreciate it.

Great video, you deserve much more views.
I'm new to the channel, but I really love your Elder Scrolls lore videos, keep it up.
Very good lore stuff, you deserve muuuch more viewers!
I cried at the end of the video just to know that it was over....... Amazing video I love them
I love these lore videos. I will never remember all the info but i still love watching them :)
Perhaps a lore video on the Imperial City Arena?

RedBeakRaven that sounds great can wait to see what you come up with :)
Great lore video!
Thanks, Sithis!
Quite informative. Great video.

What is the group that thinks Potema and Uriel were the last true Septims? The Harm?
The Hörme.
I want quests where you can serve her
Another amaziny video!
Thanks for sticking around and watching xFade26, appreciate it!
I just found your channel and now I'm binge watching your videos. Mind if I share some of your vids?
Go right ahead, Julia! The more the merrier, thanks, glad you like them.
thank you
No, no, thank you!
This is really great and I can’t believe how much info you got into it. Maybe try making shorter videos so it isn’t quite as daunting. Thanks
Thx dude!
No problem and thanks to you!
Is queen potema a dragonborn? Do the dragonborns ancestors posses the same abilities?
We had a septim furry 🙀
Khajiit what now?!
Wai Ai man
Where are you from btw? I really like your accent
Haha, Yorkshire, England, but the accent is dropped a little for narration.
@@redbeakraven I love Yorkshire accents almost as much as I love the Elder Scrolls. Luckily for me. :)
@@annakateputter_littlered A somewhat perfect match then! I should get Sean Bean to narrate these.

The imperial empire? Can't we just call it The Empire or The Septum Empire or what have you?
Hell, why not the Roman Empire?
Hey man, keep up the good work.
4:55 Furries are canon
It would seem so.
