I don't believe the game makes any distinction between farming elemental and non-elemental weapon fragments. Upgrading the lab will give you access to more types of weapons but the best ones, you'll hafta get from the gatcha system and buy fragments from the store.
@@TimeStopper20XX, oh. You were referring to the in-game currency. You can get them mostly from completing the tasks in the Missions section. To be honest, though, the element metals received from completing those tasks are limited. There will come a point when it'll no longer give you element metals. You can get some from completing events (the hidden Current Events tab, left of the main screen). Bottom line is, that resource is scarce.
