I got my first maintenance job fixing apartments. I worked on all kinds of stuff most of my life. I'm just a all around I might be able to fix it type of person. I love watching your UA-cam channel. I definitely learned some tricks from you. KEEP ON KEEPING SKID
Lex Vance Thanks I will be on the look out for your new videos, to learn more! Because the property where I work at, nobody really takes the time to teach me, so this is how I have been learning, on your channel. Thanks for your time!
I been doin apt maintenance 3 months now. Love it. Normally im just an electrician which helps but your videos rock ass. Pretty much i just turn my tv on full time with your videos going. Your a bad ass lex. Thanks brotha.
Yea, Tom mentioned that when I uploaded this video years ago. I went back & flipped it over. 👍😂👍 Thank you so much for watching Eric! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
I had to do the exact same thing with my Kenmore fridge but I wasn't as keen on the ohm test so I took it to a local parts dealer who tested it for free. Hella of a lot cheaper than a new fridge. I'm no expert but I always recommend folk try not to keep an empty fridge/freezer so as to have some mass to reduce energy cost. Example: I keep 1gal milk jugs of water in my top drop freezer if not full and remove as needed. Bonus: they retain cold during power outages and are great for use in ice chest. Another great vid. L.V.!
I’m a property owner. I own some of these complexes. I need a guy like you. You looking for a job skid nasty? Seriously thanks for putting out the content. Super helpful.
Right on! I'm in Tallahassee Florida. I would like to move up into ownership actually. 😆 I'm piling cash. Not sure if I want to buy REIT's or actual properties. Hit me up Facebook or email. Lex.Vance79@gmail Thank you so much for watching tschw!
The freezer on my Sanyo works fine, the fridge is warm, I unplugged it and defrosted the ports going to the fridge, waiting to see if it gets cold in the fridge now, I can hear the fans turning, how long do you think till I see if that did the job?
Hey Lex ! Have you ever had a resident complain about a loud noise coming from the fridge or a zapping noise ? I know a fan could be the suspect but what else could it be ?
Manny Galindo Awesome man! I'm putting stuff on my website that'll help too. If you ever have any questions, hit me up! Thank you so much for watching Manny! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Lex Vance hey Vance I was wondering if you can make an intro to HVAC video ? Like all the components and diagnostics and troubleshooting. Having some problems with a room top unit.
I learn something new everyday. I have always pulled the whole fan mount out before taking it apart. Will have to try your fan trick. Is that only for GE?
I'm not sure if it works on other brands. I've only worked on GE stuff. Wouldn't hurt to try it on something else. Thank you so much for watching Freefallin!
I have one to fix today that's given trouble for months. However, the drain is blocked pretty bad. I'm going to give it another try with hot water and the wet vac. We couldn't go in because the tenants had Covid.
Same problem here but fan is working. I just ordered a new timer still new to fixing appliances. What would you do if the opening wasn't blocked yet the fan was running? By the way that trick doesn't work with any of our fridges, they're ge and stainless steel. Model is gts18gshjrss if that helps.
i have this same exact refrigerator at my property. we have a lot of problems with the ice maker not working and the condenser being full of ice. any videos on this problem?
oscar cervantes I sure do. Search ice maker not working on my channel & you'll see some vids about it. Thank you for watching Oscar! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
I had an Amana that the EVAP fan was stuck because the upper management chose to not have anything running in the apartment to not have an electric bill. (All breakers turned off). I'm learning that if the apartment is not rented quickly, the fridge may not work when it sits up. When they want this, I leave the fridge doors open so it won't have mildew and mold. I don't like their ways of making decisions.
I get a new one out of the shop and ohm it. Or, you can go to a vacant with a matching refrigerator fan that works properly and ohm that one. That's how I do it. Thank you so much for watching Elm!
😆 Yep. I noticed it when this video was out years ago & went back & turned it over. Thats what happens when you do stuff while looking through a camera lens. 😆 Thank you so much for watching Leon!
Great video man. Very helpful just starting to deal with some of these issues. Looking forward to some more great videos brother keep them coming they are a big help. BTW you and forest make a good team 😂😂😂
tk wilson No, I ohm'd a good motor out of the box. That's how I know what ohm's something should be. Thank you so much for watching tk! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
You know all the tech stuff. Which is cool. Wish I did. But anyway, when I lived in KCMO we had the same issue. Everybody else in the house was hands off; they didn't want to touch it (it was a room rental). I wanted to know so I tracked it down. Found out the diverter arm (it was variable control on fridge section) was partially broken, allowing it to bend. Incredibly hard to find. But once it was, we set it to a certain point and let it ride. Never had another issue out of it before I left which was over a year later.
The worst was when I was delivering for Lowe's. We took a Samsung out to this couple. It didn't work. This was like the 2nd or 3rd we had taken out. It didn't do anything. Completely unresponsive. I spent almost an hour on it just to try to get it to run. Nothing worked. It wasn't until I got back to the store and was ready to go that the appliance manager casually dropped the info that floor models are not fully functional; They are only set to display and cannot be set otherwise. I looked at her "Really? This would've good to know beforehand." She just shrugged her shoulders. I was mad. The next day the lady called the store saying she didn't want me to come back ever. All bc I called my supe saying that I can't be here all day freaking with this one appliance; I have other deliveries to make. What makes it hypocritical is the fact that they were very visibly Christian. Yeah. Nothing more than a show.
👍😂👍 Yea I made this video almost 3 years ago. I went back the day afterwards & flipped it over. I noticed after watching the playback. Thank you so much for watching Gustavo! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
