- "Joey Votto, thank you!"
It was an emotional scene after the game as Jim Day spoke with Joey Votto following Cincinnati Reds' 4-2 win over Pittsburgh. - Розваги
He was drafted by the Reds at 19 years old. He wore a Reds uniform his entire career. A man of class, professionalism and character on and off the field. Damn I know better than to cut onions when posting.
What a moment. Baseball won’t be the same without this legend. I feel privileged to have watched him.
I’m not crying you are! What a legend!
Was at this game and Joey Votto is a legend hope he stays next year
Thank Mr consistency My Favorite player
As not only a Braves fan but a baseball fan. It has been an absolute pleasure watching Joey Votto play over the last 15+. Dude straight up raked. He will definitely be a hitting coach in the bigs before long.
It's sad to see some of the hate Votto gets from social media, especially the so called Reds "fans." This guy has played 15+ years on the same team and loves the city and fans. He has an off year or 2 and they think he's the worst person to keep on the team
VOTTOMATIC BANGS
Even the grounds crew love him!
guy is a legend. what a heartfelt genuine speech. That is raw, unadulterated appreciation straight from the heart and there is no other player you get that kind of authenticity from. Hope to him back in baseball next year and hopefully in the postseason.
Love that guy, thanks for the memories Joey
Thanks for the memories Joey votto see you in Cooperstown
Joey will always be Family to The Reds Nation! What a Character and what a genuine Class Act! Thank you Toronto letting America borrow Joseph Daniel Votto! Cheers Everyone!
Hall of famer
I’m so glad I could experience this. Thank you for everything Joey. We love you so much
One more go around, let’s go!
Absolute travesty he never got to win a playoff series.
Ownership failed him repeatedly. But he has nothing to prove.
Arguably, the greatest hitter in Reds history. And I've heard former Reds players say that. Without question a first ballot Hall Of Famer.
Stop the nonsense
@@opinionatednewsguy9383 He'll go in with Cabrera. There's nobody close to them on that ballot.
Build the Statue. There will never be another one. Watched his entire career in person. The Man. Hero.
Greatest Canadian baseball player of all time no doubt
class act
Crazy because like he didn’t wanna leave right but it’s like all the attention he was getting was kind of pushing everyone the coaches and him towards a decision stay or go and that’s not even what anything was about like recognize him without trying to push them out the door… but at the same time you want him to leave in a good note on a high and safe and healthy and strong too. ❤🙏🥰🧿
If he’s not a hall of famer, I don’t know what a hall of famer is anymore
Reds will regret not letting him retire there.
Excelente Jugador franquicia dé los Reds
Hope you're back next season
🐐
Saw him hit a homerun on my birthday weekend
What a time for the reds to sweep the Cardinals. C'mon Cincinnati do unto the Cardinals as they have done to you. They have thrashed the Reds for the last 10 years or longer.
That would be beautiful!
@@ML-ul2zq it's hard to believe that the Reds season may come down to tiebreakers. Idk if they have the tie breaker on Arizona they don't on Miami
No crying in baseball? Need to watch Pete after 4192.
Joey is a great guy but man, the Reds got their ass handed to them with that 10-year contract they gave him. That's the way it is, you have to sign them to 8-13 years in order to get 5-7 great years out of them. See Pujols, Cabrerra, Machado, Trout, Harper. The last few years are a joke.
He earned every bit of that money.
He was great from day 1 til forever, because he always gives 💯absolutely
