@@gzeus6332 I'll second that. If I recall correctly, it was around 20K subs when I joined. I remember thinking, wow. This is going to grow! It's interesting watching which car channel grow and which ones kinda plateau. Look at DriveTribe for instance. For the longest time (long in Internet terms) it really was hardly growing, considering the quality of the material and presenters (Clarkson, Hammond and May to mention a notable few). Only recently has it started to gain some real viewership. Still, it has not grown nearly as fast as this channel. I think more viewers are really appreciating the more personal style of channels. This being a prime example, as well as Supercar Blondie (meteoric growth, not just because she's a blonde female either). Again, it's interesting.

When you get a reckless driving ticket talked down to 3 miles over the limit because the clerk isn't a car person and think Johnny goddamn Knoxville is driving with you, that's nothing short of a miracle.
I really dig the way VINwiki handles their sponsor's ads... Always at the end, never in the middle or beginning. I also like they don't push their merch constantly during videos (or at all) like most other channels (ahem, DDE). Also run sales on their merch unlike all the other channels I'm sub'd to which is awesome and is a smart way to get more stuff in the public to advertise the channel. VINwiki....the best UA-cam channel out there, hands down.
I was with you until you pooped on DDE. They have their own ad style and it's not as annoying as a lot of those channels.

callen8678 I know a psychologist who also happens to have her doctorate... so before you try and edgelord a ripped comment, understand as a practicing psychologist she is a DOCTOR. Understanding the depth of my joke can be hard for some. Being that this said doctor was that low in his class, got his doctorate and practiced psychology given it fielded said “doctor” better opportunities... now it’s not as funny, thanks chimpdick.

Being polite, respectful, having manners, and having a bit of a sense of humor about things goes a long way in getting out of potentially bad situations, or even getting a good situation made better. I am nowhere near this guy's class, but it has resulted in better hotel rooms for me, better amenities, and in one instance a change of seat on a flight where the only folks in front of me were first class passengers.

Lay Jay yeah it’s odd how sometimes they just don’t do anything. One time I came over a crest on a divided highway doing 120 in a 60 and there is a trooper running radar sitting on the opposite shoulder. I know he nailed me but as far as I know never came after me. I didn’t give him a chance though as took the next exit and disappeared up a paved single lane forest road.

Oh I love chasing people, it's fun especially here where not much happens till the weekend.
The only people I don't chase if they run are motorcycles it's just not worth the risk to the rider or any bystanders.
When I first moved to the Bay Area, I ended up getting pulled over the 2nd day for illegal tint. The CHP walked up to my car, cool as hell, and was like “nice car, how much do these run?”. Cool as hell and gave me a verbal. Months later, I was going about 110 down the Altamont hill. I didn’t see the CHP at the bottom until the last second. I slammed on the brakes and brought it down to 70 before dropping to the end of the hill. He just thumbs me up when I passed by. Not all cops are assholes. They are human too...

I’m glad to see Alex on here. After the last video about Alex everyone was whining that he was mean or arrogant or whatever. Which is sometimes a fair assessment but almost everything seems to be in good fun. People should check out some of his older rally videos, one in particular is Alex being escorted by a crazy Italian cop out of the city.
