    I love how open and comfortable you are with your boyfriend and how he doesn’t judge or make fun of you and instead helps and supports you in your goal. I would never allow myself to look “bad”/anything less than perfect in front of my boyfriend, and I’d be too afraid to ask for help, so I admire that in you

      thank you all in the comments but I don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend currently lol!! perhaps my phrasing was confusing, but I meant as hypothetical *if* I did have a partner currently or how in past relationships I was too afraid to show weaknesses...but as I said I really admire that quality in her so I’ll work on that for the future! ☺️

      As for the latter bit... I think the reason why is that theres a lie and misconception that's common in (mostly Western) media that singing is some sort of deity-granted ability. It's sad, because if people try it and sound bad, they accept they dont have "the gift" and give up. When really, like most things, its just a skill people have to develop.
      It's pretty frustrating to be complimented on an ability as if it's luck or chance, rather than hard work that got you to that skill level.

      They are people that actually can't do the right notes when they sing. Don't want to sound dramatic but I don't think they will be able to sing with practice, they have bad ears from the beginning. Vocal cords are an important element in singing too, which explains why there are families where everyone can sing, it's genetic. I believe that if you have bad vocal cords and/or bad ears, you won't be able to sing no matter what.

    • @koegon
      @koegon 4 роки тому +147

      @@iminyourbucketlist113 Ear training is there for a reason. Your vocal range has limitations, of course, but it can expand a bit with training. Some have it easier than others, but even the most tone deaf person that exists can train their ears and learn to sing right:)
      Then there's the whole thing about voice timbre, which you can modify as well to some extend, but that's mostly personal taste. If the intonation and the phrasing is great, you can sing really nicely compared to most.

I can tell when I’m yelling instead of singing because my chest starts to hurt, it’s good to see how she started to understand that on the third clip but she’s still yelling on the long held notes, I haven’t finished the video yet and I hope that she starts to use her chest voice instead of yelling once it’s finished

      It should never hurt to sing. If you have to tense up to hit a high note it isn't going to sound optimal. Practice until you can hit and hold the notes while still being relaxed in your throat and chest. Also practice breathing (singing while lying on your back tends to fix breathing issues naturally) and warm ups. Good job though!
