For my Directing Project in my RTF 366D class I chose to adapt a scene from DC Pierson's novel "The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep & Never Had To" (it's available on Amazon.com along with his new book, "Crap Kingdom")
Shout out to DC for giving us the go-ahead and lending us some of the artwork from the book, and to Jon, Patrick and the crew for putting in so much talent, hard work and dedication to this project. Also David for letting me edit at the office and Derek/James for letting me commandeer the apartment.

Thanks to everyone who has seen (and hopefully liked) the video! Me, Patrick, Jon and the rest of the crew were really happy with how it turned out. I noticed a few questions in the comments that keep popping up though, so here's a helpful FAQ:
Q) Where is the rest of the movie?
A) Nowhere, we only made this one scene. It's from a book called "The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To", and I directed a scene from it for my class. However, Dan Eckman (Mystery Team, Derrick Comedy), is working on the feature version right now! Here's their proof of concept: vimeo.com/1205...
Q) Is this real?
A) Yes because, well, you're watching it. But no because it's fiction (and not associated with the actual feature film being made).
Q) What does Jon Cozart smell like?
A) Restraining orders.
Jon's acting is so natural. The funny thing is in real life, they would laugh about it instead of arguing. XD
hope the Glee directors saw this and realize what kind of a big mistake back then

Go nuts! We asked DC Pierson for permission before we made ours, but I'm sure he'd just find it flattering if anyone else filmed a scene (though mine's a little inaccurate, in the book this scene takes place in a kitchen)

It was my final project for a class called Director's Workshop (RTF 366D). Me, Jon and everyone on the crew attend (or attended) The University of Texas at Austin. It's a great program, but there's no film school like just makin' films!
