This is the song that introduced me to Deftones.
I love the juxtaposition of loud guitar s and drumming with that dreamy, floating vocal in top.

Does anybody still listen to Deftones' Adrenaline album? Still my favorite, but i may be biased b/c i think i saw them live about 3 times (maybe more) before they even released their 2nd album. They were always great live back in the day, but i haven't been to a show in years. Do they still sound as good live as they did on their albums?
Adrenaline is one of my favorite Deftones albums but as far reactions go, I think it would be too harsh for my wife since shes not use to rock music. White pony and some of around the fur are more her speed. But as far as I know they sound like shit live. I mean, musically the band is on point but Chino's voice is always in bad shape.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT I feel you man. Adrenaline was their heaviest sound, as far as i know. That sucks that chino doesn't sound as good live as he used to. But like i said, everytime i ever saw them was very early on in their career. Plus Chino did do more screaming type vocals on adrenaline so that might explain some of it. I always thought they had one of the better live sounds back in the mid 90's. Some bands (or lead singers i should say) just didn't have it live. Rob Zombie, for example, back in the White Zombie days, never had good vocals at shows i went to. Still good shows, & i still think white zombie was great, but he just never had it live.
The self titled album is by far my most favourite even though Chino himself finds it not that impressive. Knife party is my favourite songs and there are songs from other albums that I like more than most songs from the Deftones album but as a whole I like it more. The album has hardcore nu-metal elements, dream pop and shoegazing as well as witch house influence. It's very complex and coherent at the same time.
They're amazing live now. Way more wall of sound and tight as hell.

Guys gotta do Faith No more. They influenced Deftones and Korn and many heavy nu metal bands. Any song from their Angel Dust is a good direct choice to see the Influence. Chino got his haunting screams from mike. And korn got the rhythm style from FNM and mike(singer of FNM) other band Mr bungle. Angel dust is truly the most Influential album of modern alternative rock/ Nu metal. Their other album King for a day fool for a lifetime is decent one but Angel dust still holds the crown of best album. King for a day has mike(singer) more diverse singing In that album since it mixes. More mellow genres like jazz and acoustic. But has bipolar rages of thrashy rock/metal. But angel dust still holds since it has a more dynamic with rhythm rock with little hints of funk and dark alternative rock/thrash metal with screams. Faith no more has that groove that korn has. But with more classy elements. FNM is the father of Korn and Deftones. I would love to see a side project done with mike and JD AND Chino ❤

Songs, Everything's ruined is catchy. Kindergarten is also. ❤ land of sunshine more fast pace but still has that crazy evil funk. Caffine shows more of the sound that influenced Deftones, the song Smaller and smaller also. Their heavier stuff like Jizzlobber. But jam to their catchy side. If you love mikes singing in theses song I recommend jam to Evidence and Strip search. They both show his vocal skills. Mike known for having the widest vocals in rock music. He can sing very high to low at ease. ❤🤘:)
Well, not exactly a "side project", but Jonathan Davis collaborated along with Mike Patton and DJ Lethal in Sepultura song "Lookaway" in their "Roots" álbum back in 1996, awesome track, you won't regret it, very experimental, deep vocals, harsh low tuned sound, really good.

This was one of our first videos. Back then we were poor and didn’t really know how to do these kinds of videos. We have improved immensely since then.

This video was made 3 years ago. Its actually one of the FIRST reactions I had my wife do. Since this video she has became a better reactor, started her own channel and has become a huge Deftones fan.
