I love this song its so good! He has another song called like crazy, but just so you aware its reminds me of an 80's song. Jimin is from a group called BTS. You should check them out as a group they have 3 rappers and 4 vocals.
❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just fro amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon walk for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young age 11 Jimin, in 2007, not only performed already, but was facing the stage, right front side, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition.
JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling. Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have. Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance.

OMG!!! I heard ‘Like Crazy’ the other day and I was like “Who is this?!!!” I went down a rabbit whole learning about Jimin and when I saw him perform on Jimmy Fallon I was like “Wow!!! this dude is the Asian Michael Jackson!” Can’t wait to see his career evolve!
He'll be back in 2025 with the rest of his band member's BTS the biggest global group on the planet the only group in the top 10 Global Artist list. All 7 Member's of BTS are solo artist who choose to be a group. They've always had solo work within BTS albums and outside of BTS albums. They see solo work as artist Development and whatever they learn from their solo work they take back to the group. All 7 members are Song writers, Composer, Producers each to a greater or lesser extent. The have 3 of the best Rappers as they come from the underground Hip Hip Scene and 4 amazing vocalists. All 7 members can do sing and dance. Jimin studied Contemporary Dance and would also take part in Hip Hop Dance competitions. He's also trained in more Traditional Korean Dance and a Martial Art's expert and will combined the skills in his dance performances.
They are currently doing their 18months of Military service.

Jimin is an incredibly versatile artist. LIKE CRAZY, FACE OFF, LIE, SERENDIPITY, FILTER etc, all of his solo songs are masterpieces. Check out the Like Crazy MV which is the first and only K-Pop solo song to top the Billboard Hot 100. and Set Me Free pt2 live performance_(SBS Inkigayo or M Countdown).

Recommendations? You're headed down a rabbit hole of incredible music. Content can be overwhelming but worth the time...may even take over your life its so good. Try one of Jimin's recent collabs with another Kpop artist, Taeyang, in a song called "Vibe." It really is that, a VIBE. Dancing is great too.

It's a scorpion crane... My husband watches the mv shootings,and that's what he saw. Its what they use here at the studio,but a different brand name.
Jimin's body paint is a famous German poem- his real tattoo is covered with body paint although you caught a glimpse of it- it says NEVER MIND from his band mate Suga's song.
We did get to see the real one's on his back in the MV and yes he does have a lot of tattoo's on his body, his upper arms, his back behind his ear, on the inside of one of his fingers on his side's. Jimin tattoo's are all in black ink while Jungkook's are Black and coloured ink.
The dance practice video of this choreography without cuts bc him and his team work to show us the complete routine in shot to showcase every move shows you just how insane he is. Check it out
99% of kpop is based on hip hop, r&b, trap, edm and pop. And most groups are a mix of rappers and singers. And a lot of kpop solo artists come from groups.

@@edn kpop does music different. Kinda like kids who want to become sports professionals in America. Kpop kids are put in training programs by record labels, basically singing, dancing, studying English and interview skills, etc. All day and night just for a chance for the record label to put them in a group for just a chance to "debut".

Jimin is our King of Kpop! BTS and other groups release dance practices for their choreographed songs. They show the whole choreo routine start to finish, so less "practice" more "show".
If you want more Jimin dancing I would suggest serendipity live or filter live Day 2.
If you want to see the whole group blow your mind ON Kinetic Manifesto Film has everything you want and more. Their song Danger is another good one, and a total throwback to baby BTS.
BigHit is usually good about not copyrighting reactors, just play it from the beginning to the end, and you can pause if you need to.
Set Me Free Pt 1 is a slower song by another member, Suga.

Hi, so Set Me Free Pt.2 is prerelease track of Jimin debut album as solo artist and him telling his feelings he had during two years of pandemic. It's about avoiding to see the reality, trying to run away, expressing feelings on loneliness. While Set Me Free Pt.2 as last track on album express accepting the true face of himself, confronting the reality and getting free.
The lyrics are raw and honest. I think a lot of people can relate even though theirs stories are different.
Jimin is singer and dancer. But with Set Me Free pt2 he let himself to experiment on different genre and try some rapping. In my humble opinion he did amazing. Hope he will experiment more. He's really talented artist.
He has unique voice. I never heard anyone having anything close. You should try Like Crazy his title song of the album. BTW the song debuted no1 at BB hot100. Making him first korean soloist to do so. Makes me proud for him achieving things with his debut. And doing this not in his country.

The set was designed to model a certain prison format where the cells are around and the guard is in the middle to have 360° visual, purposeful for the theme of the song/lyrics 😊

BTS debut as a hip hop group back in 2013, they were just mostly teens. Two of their rappers came form underground rap, the third learned from them and was a hip hop dancer. You’ll enjoy all their content I think, because you’ll always be pleasantly surprised.

Speaking of fashion, BTS started out as a Hip Hop group and had the streetwear fashion in a lot of their videos and concerts. You should see some more of their stuff. Now, most of the BTS members are brand ambassadors for luxury clothing lines: Jimin for Dior and Tiffany & Co., RM for Bottega Veneta, SUGA for Valentino and the NBA, J-Hope for Louis Vuitton, V for Celine, and Jungkook for Calvin Klein. When Jin gets finished with Military duty it will be interesting to see which Brand he chooses to represent.💜

I just wanna say I really appreciate this reaction and I really loved your guys approach to watching the music video and sharing your opinions afterwards. Just FYI if the music video ever comes from big hit entertainment, they rarely ever copyright claim reaction videos, cause they see it as free advertising. Since Jimin is from BTS, and you listed good camera work, good story lines an amazing locations I want to suggest some BTS music videos that have those things. Fake love is an amazing one and a lot of the things that you would think would be CGI they built in real life. Mic drop is another BTS one. And last, but not least Back swan which has modern dance in it

They are that talented in dance. They have dance practice videos, they really do move like that.
They span so many genres, you’re always surprised. Their lyrics are them and they’re real. Their songs are mostly mix Korean and English. They made 3 full English songs during pandemic for fun pop but typically their music are deep in lyrics and their mv are also high production with meanings in them as well. Some have explanation videos because the audience are always trying to figure out haha
Jeez you guys, what's the point with no sound??? I've seen tons of reaction videos, but have never seen the sound fluctuation thing before. I don't enjoy it at all.
You didn't know Jimin is a member of BTS??? He is one of the main dancers and lead singers. They are pursuing solo projects before they serve 18 months in the S. Korean military. They will reunite all 7 BTS members in 2025.
