My cousin recons you reminded him of me ,when we used to play with car's 😂😅 great memories 😂 nice little Toyota Corolla, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones Wishing you a Healthy and Prosperous New Year
Toyotas like this from the 80s were just so well designed and comfortable as well. What an amazing find and a very cool car, used to see a few around NZ back in the day.
Great era of car. My firstie was a Corona MK2. I actually had 2 of them, same colour, one manual, one auto. Great little buzz-boxes. Would love to find one again but theyre rare enough that theyre somewhat valuable these days.
Wow, it even runs great, nice and quiet no knocks or ticks of any kind. Makes you wonder why they were tearing it apart in the first place... I guess they did not realize the ECU was fried.
Dirty terminals on the ignition plug, could be pulled apart and cleaned , but easier to just replace it. most likely typical of most model toyotas of that era. having said this if you just turn it a couple of hundred tines it will probably clean itself. Could be helped if its possible to get some solvent into it. Its also possible that its just turning more than the ignition switch would be turning it, turning past the contacts.
I've got a turbo laying around in my workshop that would be ideal for that 1.5l engine. I was going to do a turbo on my 98 mirage before it was written off but never got around to it. It's only tiny but will provide 17lb boost to a 1.5l engine all day. The 4g15 in the mirage would've been the perfect engine for it. If you need it for the corolla let me know
Cool old toyota dude ..blind garage scotland is away to rescue a Toyota gt4 that’s been sitting parked for nearly 20 years doing it tomorrow video be out sunday with a biit o luck it is being saved and going over to water to Ireland

I saw this on marketplace and hoped someone would buy it and love it! Awesome 👌
Glad you got to continue the story after you sold the car

In Canada we pretty much only had the Tercel in that era, and they were strictly dull economy cars. No EFI until 1991, and definitely no turbo fun!😢
damn your lucky, my rx7 popups never went back down.🤣
The Tercel was a great car.
