The fact you see that as a negative tells me your only experience with the character is Cavill. That IS Superman. A hero who has hesitancy towards violence. And to be fair you see that with Cavill when he kills Zod. I love the alternate take on Supes with Cavill but im here for this more comic accurate version. Open your mind towards it and if its bad then hey its bad but until then why be so negative
This is why James Gunn is a great director anything he can do practically he will do it which not only makes the movie cheaper to make but is also why VFX teams love working with him
Cornswett will probably be a combination of Reeves and Cavill. Also, if this is a big movie as a starter, imagine how big the Justice League movies would be

I might get some criticism for this, but I love all these Superman updates we’re getting. The set photos look great, the video of all the kids running to hug Superman was so wholesome. I disliked the suit, but now I’m starting to like it. I love how David looks as Superman. I have faith in this project.
I’m sure the ‘darker, more damaged suit’ isn’t superman. ‘Superman’ even looks paler. I bet this is why they were messing with David’s eyebrows… it’s a different character.
That's been my theory as well. Something was definitely up with Corenswet's eyebrows in the early days of shooting, and considering what we've seen in the set photos, I'm more and more convinced there could be a clone.

Hopefully we do get a little something about The Batman Part II at The Penguin panel. It's a bit of a relief hearing Matt Reeves is going to be there. Maybe I'm misremembering, but I feel like he was much more out there in the lead up to the first film, but with Part II we really haven't heard a peep from him. With the huge delay in the release date and just the dynamics of the Batverse and the DCU co-existing, his silence left me a bit concerned. Hopefully this is the first step in things really starting to ramp up.

Individually I’m hyper critical of Gunn and a lot of the… presentation of everything, and I do think all of the suits are beyond sub par But I am rooting for the movie as a DC fan and Superman fan and also rooting for Dave I just hope to god, that I’ll be proven wrong and James will do right by David and make this a good movie Despite what BTS looks like

This movie is giving me Sam raimi Spider-Man vibes dude someone who actually knows the source material and knows the tone of the comics and can emulate that kinda wacky tone in real life and the practical effects dude this movie looks like it is gonna be amazing. One thing I’ve learned about James over the years is he is one of those guys who is so comfortable with the source material he isn’t afraid to mess with things a bit and been it to his will the same way a comic writer would or a fan, like when he made white dragon peacemarkers father something like that is something that only really could’ve been done by someone very familiar with the material.
Theory time... Its Ultra Man! He's masked for most of the movie and we get the reveal that he's a clone created by Lex. Similar to how they ended The Boys (Spoiler warning) Lex knows the only person to defeat Superman, is Superman himself
It’s probably a merger of multiple characters just due to the fact that there is too many Superman evil characters and in a movie universe your not gonna be able to adapt them all without the audience going this is stupid so why not merge them together taking the best traits from all, sound like a very James Gunn thing to do considering how he isn’t afraid of messing with characters a little bit

This much practical effects in an actual setting and not in a sound stage in broad daylight is amazing. Probably the first of its kind.
