A great battle report , those crossbowmen can be game changing , on another note I'm doing research on Faulks De Breaute , He built a castle next to the church near where I live (Luton Bedfordshire) in diverting the river Lea to fill the moat it flooded land and buildings owned by the Bishop of St Albans , he complained to the King , Breaute's answer was " If I knew you owned the land , I would have flooded it more often " so A man who did a good job for the King and only cared for himself .
Crossbow men are really tough on this game. Thats awesome, when I asked Andy who I should take, Faulks was his immediate response. It’s crazy that you live by his castle, really rich in history. Thanks for watching.
Sadly it was pulled down over the centuries , but the church is celebrating it's 900th year , started 1121 consecrated in 1137 Richard of Gloucester held Luton at that point
Moral connected to a command unit that gets killed is BRUTAL but that is pretty accurate for historical battles. There was a reason most leaders lead from the back:)! Any way Coach The armies and table look FANTASTIC!!!!! and your editing looks GREAT!!!!!!!
Great report, the table looks beautiful perfect for barons war. The minis looked really good too. A few things I noticed that may help in future games. Prince Louis in housing keeping for morale should have need a 4 or more. - 1 for weary token, - 1 for morale dice (pip). So he failed on the 2. Weary tokens always give you -1 on dice. Also your command group were on barbed warhorses so they need two wounds each per model. So I think Falkes might of lived. Thanks for sharing I look forward to more reports. Great job and glad your enjoying game.
I knew we were doing something wrong on the morale! Thank you for the note. However, would I be using my leaders morale for the command group or that of the knights? Also probably a presentation error on our part: Coach’s horses were actually not on the barded war horse. They were only on the one (forgetting the name) that boosts movement only.
Yes, my horses were not war horses. I won’t be making that mistake again. The army builder for Barons war isn’t the best. We’re working on an excel document for them
@@Ryguyee no problems, the weary and morale dice still affect your leader unless you have a priest in your group you can ignore morale dice then. But weary still counts. Hope that helps. Look forward to your next battle report, I really enjoy BW content. Thanks for taking time to put it together and your right it is a good community
That was not how I thought the game was gonna go. When the crossbow men ran I thought it was gonna be that type of game. When the charge hit and wiped coaches whole leader and cavalry. Wow. Game. Faster than I thought. Shields are huge.
Think I caught my own mistake. Pretty sure even when I’m rolling to get rid of a morale dice I have to factor in the +1 - should’ve been hitting on threes. Having said that, should I have even gotten a morale dice since the crossbows ran off the board and didn’t “die” per se

@@saffon69 Oh man, that's amazing!!!!
Very enjoyable battle report!
Thank you. Trying to get the rules down
Great BatRep, gents!
Appreciate that! Was a blast to film.
You guys made the game look like a whole lot of fun. The Arches freaking out and running off was funny to see.
This was a great game. The crossbowmen at the beginning, I thought I had it in the bag. Didn't work out that way.

Yea, we are enjoying the game. I'm trying to keep up with your tables.

That and I need to roll better.

If they run off the board, I think they are considered dead for the game.
