*Sighs* I completely didn't understand what the y-accel meant...so I can trying to build my coasters using the force section values only. Watching what you did, I now see what I was doing wrong clear as day. Thank you!
Instantaneous changes in force hurt (like Magnum XL200), but how about instantaneous changes in the change of force? Basically, are sharp angles in the force graph undesirable?
@@funkypenguin That makes sense seeing as the roll graph is the only one of the three that corresponds directly with track position. Sharp angle in roll graph would be the rolling equivalent of the Magnum XL200 problem: an instant change in G forces. Not convinced that sharp angles in force graphs would matter though, seeing as there's no instant change in what the rider feels.
Is there an easier way to make them in this game, no offense but your way looks a little overwhelming for me, is there something a little less overwhelming?
i know this is really late, but how did you exactly download fvd? because when i download it, the application has everything squished and heavily cropped, and i cant even make coasters. Thanks for reading if u do.
@@funkypenguin ;-; for me nolimits cost me 150 becuz my pcs broke and i never backed up the codes and it happened 2 times lol. fvd is free uwu good to know
I really enjoyed this! Believe it or not this really honestly helped me see how I can learn it better!

That’s how I was a long time ago I started using y accel a few months ago and building better
Friction parameters should be set to .024 instead of .020. It matches NL2 much closer.
I have now finished my first fvd coaster thanks to this tutorial
i was at the end of the tutorial and fvd crashed...
i struggle so hard to make just a hill turn (horseshoue i think its called) and after that a normal hill that is not banking...

Sometimes, I avoid sharp angles in the roll graph

I got some dumb questions:
-is it possible to import a nl2 coaster to fvd?
-can you export coaster parts/segements to add them to a coaster in nl2?
Yes for both, I haven’t yet tried importing a coaster from NL2 to FVD but I do know it IS possible
@@funkypenguin I only get the option to import nltrack files but not nl2park files
@@m.hoffman2889 i believe you need to save a section of your nl2 coasters track as an element then import

Nah this gives you the smoothest coasters it takes practice
What do I do after I download the link that you provided? I have been trying to get it for a while now?
Extract it
@@funkypenguin I was wondering does fvd have a dark mode? my eyes kinda hurt from it a bit lol

I am not really sure. Sorry
@@funkypenguin it’s all good now, I managed to fix it by editing the API and right clicking the app.
umm how do I get my track to look like his? mine looks super thin and weird and I dont know how to fix it
Go into properties and change the track style before you press edit
@@funkypenguin thanks
can you export rides from nolimits2 into fvd?
I think you can with pro, I’m not sure about that though
Is FVD a good investment?
Yes
How do I install FVD++?
Search it up on google and find the GitHub link
@@funkypenguin thx
