Brilliant tutorial bro. Some clarification, for the Show Decimal button, some error will happen due to Floating Point error (with the imported data and unity itself). Cheers for helping out everyone with this resource!
not really much of an import This seems more time consuming than just building it in Planet Coaster. what would be great is if this program had a plugin that would talk to planet coaster, and as you switch to each node in NL2PC that it would just build that part in the track builder at that point it would seem a little more useful
So for the v3 realism track limits mod for Planet Coaster, you can download the mod from my discord server. There's also a set of instructions alongside the mod on how to install it. discord.gg/kfyu7XEbdE
Trying to do this on a Mac, but when I get to select nlvm file for the class part, none of the files on my computer are showing up to use as a file to save in, any help? anyone?
Two completely different piece of software... while PC is more of a game, NL2 is almost an engineer grade coaster building tool... Its like saying, you can model your coaster in a cad software, why playing PC...
What a hilariously misleading title. I mean kudos to the devs behind that little Unity program, but manually building a coaster meter by meter isn't "importing" shit. Has Planet Coaster's "fcompressedsave_blueprint" file format seriously not been reverse engineered and documented? Pretty much every step of this should be able to be automated. Also fwiw the number array you're copying from the NL2 logs is in tab-separated value (.tsv), not comma-separated value (.csv) format.

Planet Coaster isn't a tycoon game, and making realistic coasters is fun to me. In fact, I don't think, even if I tried, I could make an unrealistic ride...

Okay so you never actually import anything which means you still have to manually make the entire coaster
yes, it's a hassle, but, if you want a really well-shaped coaster, it's worth it! if you don't, it's not worth it at all...
I would really like to see how it works with more complex rides. Im a console player so i cant try it my own, but im curious

Oh yikes, yeah Idk how to do Mac lol
Is it possible to change the length of the nodes from 2m to 4m?
Not specifically the nodes, but you can build the coaster in 4m, it will just be a much larger scale
Is there a way to do the opposite?
Unfortunately, there is not...
if you use No limits im not sure why anyone would go back to PC. its worse in every way besides the management aspect
@samjones4187 yesh ik, It was just an idea, and a tutorial for the people that (for some reason) want their coasters in planco

are you tired of trying to be perfectly smooth in a tycoon game? maybe just play for fun.
