Top Dog Friendly Places in Austin! Dog Parks and Visiting Central Texas SPCA.

- It's a dog's day out in Austin, Texas y'all! Come on and join me and my buddy Shouto for a trip around Austin to some great dog friendly and dog themed places that will have your pup barking for joy.
In this journey I am joined by my sister, Alicia and her loveable pup, Shouto. We hit up 4 different wonderful places to take your dog to across the city of Austin, Texas. Now these aren't just dog friendly places. These are places that are dog themed, specific for dogs or promote great dog and animal causes. With a final 5th stop to visit the Central Texas SPCA to love up on some animals waiting for their forever home.
The first stop is at a dog themed coffee shop across from the University of Texas called, Lucky Lab Coffee Co. This outdoor spot has an large open pavilion that connects to several eateries and has lpenty of outdoor games for dogs and their hoomans.
Second is an off leash park at Shoal Creek Park just a mile East of the Lucky Lab. A spacious park that is part of the Shoal Creek Trail and Austin Park System. A great place for the dogs to live their best life and splash around in the water on a hot day.
Third is a special place called, Austin Pets Alive! If you like thrift shopping this is your jam. A wonderful store where the proceeds go to helping care and foster medically impaired animals. While they don't accept surrenders they do work with the humane society of Austin to foster animals that need love and help with their own medical issues.
The 4th place was Shouto's favorite and that is the Yard Bar on Burnet St in North Austin. An outdoor dog park with a connected bar and burger slider joint that is to die for. Come for the dogs and stay for the beer and burgers.
The last spot is a visit to the local SPCA chapter. The Central Texas SPCA branch is up in Leander, Texas, 30 minutes North of Austin. Here the staff of the SPCA helps take care of surrendered and abandoned animals and does their best to transition them into their forever homes. What a great idea! who doesn’t love a good dog video! Mexico City is a huge dog lover city! Dogs and coffee! Love it! Dog parks are a great place to be outside and play with friends! Andy was a good boy!

It is such an awesome city. Ever growing, means we lose some of the staples sadly but, the heart of Austin is still there.

Dog's day out. Shouto seems to have lot of fun going to different places. I would have relaxed at Yard bar:).

Nah my sister is the bad influence on him in that regard lol. Yeah if I wasn't constantly moving around so much I'd have a dog in a heart beat. Not feasible for me just yet.
Homemade Blueberry Pop tart? Guess I need to stop there. Like the idea of the Thrift Shop that donates to help the sick dogs. Might need to drop off items there instead of Goodwill. Shoto was so tired after that adventurous day. He is going to miss you.

Awesome video man! I've been thinking about moving to Texas from upstate NY but I'm kinda worried about poisonous snakes and spiders biting my dog. Would that really be that big of a problem down there? Or am I just being paranoid? Lol
I mean we have snakes and spiders but, run ins in and around the Austin area are very rare. Even when you go to the hill country for hiking, as long as you stick to the trails you don't hear of any issues. Honestly, depending on how far outside the city you live the bigger issue for pets is coyotes at night.
