Dear Alex, we have similar backgrounds and you are more than 100% right about families role in the business. 69 days ago i lost my 35 years married angel wife. She has supported me on every bump on my path in my life business or normal life. She was like my second brain . She almost said the same thing about something that i couldnt do due to the lack of experience. So long story short a good wife is like a treasure for the husband and i hope people can listen and learn from thier wife's opinions. I miss my wife so much that words are short to describe. I watched your video in tears while it just opened the pandoras box of my wifes memories. Thank you. Regards to your family.
As you had said “Cannot put a value on experience” and “Mothers love is second to none” you are not only great in your electronic repairs but also in moral values.
Hi. this is Sohail from Oman. For one year I have never missed a single video you uploaded. You are my mentor in real life. One year ago I started my laptop repair business with zero knowledge of repairing but thanks my Allah, now I can fix a dead laptop easily. My story of struggle is similar to yours, when I faced difficulties in my business, my wife backed me and provided me her full support to motivate me every day. Those days, my shop rent was equal to $400 and when I go back home with zero repairs she knows I am dishearted and might close the business soon, She is a teacher, so she starts supporting me by paying shop rent from her salary. Many other computer shopkeepers started a repair business but they failed and No one survived in repairing except me because I had a motivator at my home and now I am the only shopkeeper in the town who is successfully running a laptop repairing business. Now I am well-known in town and have a regular customers and dealer's circle to run my business.
Because of sharing your first experience in repair business, you bring back my first experience as well. When I started repairing,my first costumer brought in an LED TV 32 inches. And the problem is no backlight. I fixed the backlight issue, but unfortunately when I powered up the TV i saw the screen cracks in the middle😔😔. That day i felt like the whole world fell on me. It was a very terrible first experience. I bought a new led tv as a replacement for my costumer's tv. And i said to myself " i will not going to repair again". But because repair is my passion i did not stop. Until now i am doing repair, lots of led tv's and from the moment i broke one led tv til today i did not broke even a single one. We share the same hard feeling(challenge) on starting a repair business. Greetings from the Philippines 🙂.
amazing how different things are in other countries. here in the USA it makes little financial sense to do repairs on anything worth less than $300 unless you are simply doing it as a hobby with $0 overhead.
Such a good story! Fellow electrical engineer here + home repair business. Also completely agree on the marriage and commitment deal. Love your channel, you are a true inspiration to me.
I'm a hobby repair guy and I was thinking I was the only one making mistakes. For the moment I'm working on a PlayStation 5 with ripped off pads HDMI port. 9 in total, like you say sometimes Hiroshima. Took me 5 hours to repair the pads. Sometimes I'm also thinking, what am I doing? I do it for free, I love to help others and I always get presents. Maybe strange, I relaxes me because I have to concentrate myself during the installation of the pads. Some go to the 9th dimension too. I have a difficult job and this hobby disconnects me from the rest. What you explain here, it's like my first steps. But I also hate to give up. I'm also a perfectionist, sometime this doesn't help. Sometimes it's more like a handicap. I always think, if someone else can do this, I can also. Makes me a strange guy, like my wife says to me. Now my son is 14 years old and he is just like me. Every day he has to learn something otherwise he is unhappy, just like me. It's a pity that not more people are like this. Would make life much easier for all of us. Love your channel btw !!!
First of all Thank you so much Alex. I am 23 and I am from INDIA. I am in Electronics repair business since 3 years now. But due to Post Covid Financial Problems I hadn't enough money to invest in my buisness. I started my repair buisness by just repairing headphones back in my college days. Now I can repair a huge variety of devices. But Sometimes Customer didn't understand that we can't fix every device. So they just become too much abusive on me. By watching your videos I gained more confidence to deal with customers and their devices. YOU ARE MY IDOL SIR🙏 YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION. I hope one day I can meet you in person. Again THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH SIR. You can't Imagine how you just changed my life. Thank you Sir. You will always have My Respect SIR❤️
lol😂 I’m meant to say “ this had to be the best video I have ever watched” Also my names Jacob! I would love to talk to you some how! I’m trying to start my own repair phone business and I’m very friendly with my friends and family. So marketing is not a problem. Just experience is what I crave and want!
15:30 - TO ALL SERVICE ENGINEERS WANNABE'S - This moment of enlightenment comes when you FOCUS after/during a lot of stress, worry, pressure and other bad feelings, regardless of level of knowledge. This is the most precious moment during our careers. I work with electronics worth 3k - 300k a piece. This guy is once more honest and correct.
This story makes me so happy for you, cause i know what its like. I was hired on to work at a game store when i was 20, both the owner and the manager thought i wasn't going to cut it. Later I became a tech, and I didn't want to because i was scared of messing up peoples devices. It's been 10 years since then, and now after 2 years i own one of the highest rated (if not THE highest rated) shops in the state, I can attribute some of that success to you as well!
There is no success without failure. You are the man! I can totally relate. I was replacing a customers LCD without removing battery, and I fried motherboard. Had to replace $800 motherboard. Was very expensive lesson! Cheers to your success and family!
I started an auto detailing business. I didn’t want to clean crappy cars for a few bucks so I set my prices nearly double what others were charging. Since I know SEO and like you I am a web developer I built a VERY nice VERY clean website, ran Google ads and I started getting TONS of calls. They were doctors, lawyers, I even cleaned the car of a Denver Broncos backup QB. The cars I was cleaning were Jaguars, BMW, Porsche, Audi, etc. So the moral of the story is if you LOOK like you can command a premium price then you can charge a premium price.
At 19 I'm fortunate enough to have a job at a local small shop where I can learn and practice and if I break something it's not out of my pocket. Bought all my own soldering equipment to keep at the shop and learn and practice on all the excess donor devices so once I'm 1000% confident in my soldering abilities I'm going to start my own shop in a different area. Already been taking in mail in solder jobs on the side and done a bunch of ports and other solder jobs through the shop. Great story and you're a great motivation to me!
"Nobody cares about you more than your mother and nobody loves you more than your mother even if you have problems with your mother even if you do not agree with your mother you have to keep in mind that nobody loves you more than your mother" This is one of the best quotes of NorthridgeFix ! SO TRUE!!!
Your story makes me cry as I had the same situation when I start my business,no money no customer just a heart full of faith. and a heart full of faith always makes a big miracle in your life.
My first iPhone repair was also a 5S screen replacement. For me it was the long screw in the short hole, destroying the logic board. Had to replace the entire device!
Amazing message, 100% genuine and true! Starting your own business is never easy, and it takes YEARS of hard work and love to make it grow. But once you break through the barriers, it is a wonderful feeling to be able to support your family and help people every day 🙂💪
That was a beautiful story Alex. Thank you so much for sharing. I could feel your happiness, that hit of dopamine in your brain and the goosebumps and wave of relief/euphoria it brought when you finally got that screen to work. I’ve encountered similar situations in my life and it’s a good reminder not to give up. Take care. -Aris.
I truly appreciate your stories Alex, you put me back in the right state of mind and remind myself that our failures are the most important part of learning! 💙
My Brother Alex, you don't know how much motivation you just gave me now. I hate it when the video ended so soon. I could spend hours listening to your words of wisdom. out of my love for phone repairs i broke 2 LCD and battery port and had to order again. i order the third time and bring it to the phone shop pay them to change lcd, bettery port and later i returned it to my customer. I lost money on 2 LCD and labor fees at the phone repair shop. from then i said "phone repairs are not meant for me". i was so disappinted and believed in what I thought until I come across this video. You are an inspiration brother. motivation, and ethics and many positivity captured in your single video.. Greatly appreacited
Some lessons can seem costly at times, but worth their weight in gold in the long run. You're an inspiration to us all Alex, from your work ethic, morals and your own personal life. I wish you and your family long life, peace and prosperity.
21 years old and been repairing since I was 16. Had a official business for 4 years and been in a storefront for a little over a year. Gonna learn soldering in these upcoming years and this man is great motivation.
I have been learning soldering. Getting more customers than ever now and doing advanced iphone repairs like bottom board swaps and etc. crazy to see this comment being 11 months old and knowing how much more skilled I am now.
That Awesome. My youngest son of 13 has a great interest in electronics. Had helped me repair a few older Apple desk tops. Do you have any advice for a young manwanting to learn to get into the business? Cheers
@@77FINNBEAR yeah just start and don’t be scared to mess up because you will and that’s okay. There will be times where it seems really hard and really frustrating and that means you’re making progress 👨🔧
This here is a complete inspiration... the love of a woman... the determination to proceed into unknown waters.. but having the common sense and the determination.. will lead you to success. I applod you and your family.
I'm really motivated. Passing through this process at the moment after resigning my job as a network engineer to set up my laptop repair shop. I believe passion is the key to happiness. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I have tears in my eyes ,your story is inspiring ,i said before , you are a wonderful person ...you said at some point you are a "perfectionist" , i am just like you , a perfectionist , my mother told me when i was younger : " my little son , you will probably have a hard life " and i asked : "why mom ?" and she replied : "Because you are a perfectionist in an imperfect world ! " Those words stuck in my mind to this day , i was 17-18 then....i am 36 now...still the same kid... but now struggling...stuck in a job that i don't like , i am captive , imprisoned for the past 15 years ...but watching your videos woke me up , just a few more months and i will quit and try to start my own thing....in a strange way i am verry attracted to what you do , microsoldering , repairs etc , looked up for some classes that i can take to learn but not with much luck...nothing as proffesional as what you do.... Anyways , keep up the good work , i am watching your videos with great pleasure and wished to be around someone like you to learn the ways of microsoldering and repairs !
You are a man who truly deserves his success. Watching you work compared to those who haven’t got either the education or experience is like night and day.
I am really pleased with all my heart that someone as hardworking as you is successful. This is the reward, not only for your know-how but also for the courage, patience and perseverance that one must have to be as successful as you. I wish you, your business and your family who support you continued success.
I was about to start python ..... u just light up the flame even more.... I'm so honored to find u and this channel and learn so much...... "u need to break 20 or 40 screens before u know how to install a screen u broke 2 screens and u angry wake up " 24 carat gold of wisdom
Love your video’s! I’m on the same path 99% same story. I’m scared to start my repair shop but with my wife support I moved forward with the shop and now this Friday is our soft opening. I been working on phones since the iPhone 3GS and till this day I’m still learning everyday.
When i started a Repair Business, i broke many replacement parts too. But i didn't have the support you had. My family and girlfriend discourage me to continue accepting repairs. But then I think of my passion, and motivated myself that its okay to brake things. It brings you new knowledge and experience. So I still pursued my business, and brake alot of stuffs but learnt alot as well. Now, I am a 4 years technician, and gained alot of loyal customers. I fix far better than before and I might say its worth to brake things than nothing.
I want to say thank you for this story. I've been doing some repairs at my house(parents' house) and yes I broke stuff and still am but just like you said. I gained new knowledge and experience. Hopefully, I'll also be successful one day. Really wanna say thanks again to all the people on the internet that keep sharing all the good stuff. You guys are awesome!
Thank you for the motivation. I'm practicing on old defective iPad mini2 and broke 2 touch glasses already. Stopped and shelved the repair as i have lost 80€ on them. I own all of the 3 mini2 so felt a little bad. Previously i fixed 3 iPad Pro 10.5 and they were success. I will reattempt on fixing them.
That was a beautiful story of your beginnings. THIS is what America is all about. You did great for yourself and now you have more work than you can handle! Congratulations.
That's what I like the most on this channel: See that happiness on Hussein's face when he fix something. That make me smiles too! Your success is so well deserved, and very inspiring. Many congrats and long live to your business !
Watching your videos has given me the confidence to try repairs that are outside of my comfort zone. I've been recently buying up user damaged retro video games. People damage their games when trying to replace the save and clock batteries. These games have required micro trace repair, IC replacement, IC repair, etc. I've been able to buy them at a fraction of the cost, repair them, and then use the money from selling the games to buy more broken games, and tool upgrades. Thank you so much, Alex.
Love this video, people have a habit of assuming successful people, especially business owners hit the ground running when in reality they've spent just as much time working on failed projects that the world will never hear of. Also, it's always the "easy" jobs that end up biting you lol.
Fantastic story and one i can really relate to as i was made redundant in 2012 from a very comfortable IT position. I looked for 6 months to get another one but nope nothing doing. My wife sat me down and gave me a pep talk and said you have been in Sales you have the electronics engineering and IT background so give it a go. I have been successfully running my business since feb 2013, not from a retail premise but it works for me.
Wives will do that to ya, mine has been a massive support with my business venture. I have a few similar stories like you when I started out as well. I've said it before but your channel has been a huge help and inspiration for my business. Your success drives me because I know you need to break 50 screens or 50 consoles before you know how to efficiently fix one. Thank you for this video!
I agree with the family statements as well. My wife and I will be married for 7 years this March. We are still going strong. My mentor told me a few years ago, "Marriage doesn't get easier. It just gets harder. The part that gets easier is coping with it. " I do agree, the arguments can get worse, and people just have the COMPLETE opposite of what marriage is. However, my wife and I vowed to GOD for better or for worse. Till death due us part. We want to strangle each other to death at times for weeks, but we get through it and find ways to cope. But enough of me on my soap box. Your speech is definitely inspiring, and this is the first time I have seen any of your videos. Keep it up, man!
Inspiring, always great stories to tell... I stripped a lot of screws and broke a lot of screens but I was working at a recycling center when I learned, best job ever, the pay wasn't good but it was well worth it.
Thanks for this detailed story telling about your experience, I just graduated as Computer Engineering this month, really inspirational and motivational story for me as im planning to do the same and open a repair/programing office
same thing to me..., the important thing is our responsibility , if we have done wrong with customer device we must recovered it. the value is not about money... it's gaining experience ... bravo
Wow, I can totally relate. I felt like I quit my job so I could spend money on a shop, sit in that shop... buy iPad digitizers and break them. LOL - Every failure is a step towards success. Thanks for sharing good sir.
i think u r awesome , with me its 30 years this year and 50 now , when i was 25 i collapsed with a brain heammorrage etc the wife still takes care of me i lov her to bits . god bless you and me .
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge! Awesome content as usual, glad to learn more about the challenges you had in the beginning. Pure inspiration. Cheers from Romania!
A round of applause for that wife. I think you got here by pure effort and dedication. But you really are lucky to have a wife like her. And thanks for this video. One of the best you've uploaded.
Great story to share with us Alex! I am so satisfied to hear about you begginings în electronics, i was so curios about it, and if you would make a 10 hours story, i would watch it with the same satisfaction. Great inspirational lessons in your speech, you so such an motivating person Alex!!! I wish you and your family all good!!! 💪😎
That's amazing! I'd like to open a repair shop here in my place, right now it's a hobby but sometimes I struggle a bit, because I rarely have worked on motherboard but I'm trying getting knowledge and get better I hope so. You helped me a lot right now 😊😊
Today July 21st of 2023 I'm at the beginning of my business and have a little money left... My screwdrivers gearbox broke. I left the work with disappointment and anger I came to phone and UA-cam and saw your video... I saw the cover of vedio many times but I never watch this video. God bless you. That is made my day. I will be back to work right now. Love you from Iran ❤️
Very inspiring. I am also starting a electronic repair business. Have had couple of mishaps. Even cooked a motherboard with my hot air station😂. That was hilarious. I am finding it extremely difficult to source components. I am in Namibia buying it online from AliExpress takes about a month to arrive.
Alex you are amazing man, thanks for the business advice. Keep up producing great content please! I follow you from Australia and watch your videos everyday.
I started a business as a PC technician assembling and repairing PCs. I'm not getting enough customers coming in but I'm working on establishing it to become stable and successful because computers are my passion I love and enjoy working on them and it's the best feeling helping people with their PC issues. Recently I started learning board level repair and electronics to add to my services and get more jobs coming in. My sister always says don't give up on your business keep working on it every day and eventually you'll be where you want to be. Your life stories and experiences are always valuable and inspiring Alex thanks for sharing these precious moments and memories and best wishes to you and your family 🙏🏻
Wow! You graduated in Electrical Engineering and also repair as your hobby?! Sir you're my Idol in repair and you're also an Electrical Engineer graduate same as me sir! HEHEHE what a coincidence, but I'm currently reviewing for Licensure Examination here in the Philippines so I'm not currently doing my hobby in electronics but i still watch your videos sir. Btw i hope you find the house that into your liking sir. Sorry for bad english ☺️
Your story inspired me I’m new technician I haven’t yet started my business I searched how to start repair shop and your video was the second video in the list and you really motivated me and I’m feeling encouraged thank you so much I needed this more than anything else and for the moral support I have my mom supporting me I’m not yet married .and I can’t appreciate enough to my mother she is literally everything to me MY Allah grant her highest paradise firdowsa
A lot of people sneer at success saying 'oh you must have had it easy', proof here that's not always the case, hardwork, taking some risks and belief in yourself is a perfect example here and behind every great man is a great woman.
I LOVE YOU ALEX. GLAD I MET YOU AND GOT ALL MY MICROSOLDERING TOOLS $1000+ TO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS AND MORALS. FAMILY IS IMPORTANT AND HAVING A SPOUSE THAT SUPPORTS YOU IS KEY. GOD BLESS BROTHER.
You bring back memories to me. I had a great job with Eastman Kodak in 1974. But I wanted something more. So I was a ham radio operator and went to "Hamfest" to buy up electronic gadgets and found "Clone" computers living there. I bumped into an old friend with the last name of Kahn in Atlanta. He started financing the surplus so we would take a lot of it to sell, he supported me for 29 years. He set me up with a truck load of electronic surplus that my wife and I started selling in the fleamarkets. The next thing you know, we had so much stuff that we opened a computer shop in Chattanooga Tn. and built and repaired computers. I continued working for Kodak until 1996 seeing the failure of that company coming, so I retired. Our little family owned shop did well and was well known. In 2015 we decided that we had had enough fun and sold our shop to our local backup repair person. He is still doing well and has just become an authorized repair shop for Apple Computers too. We saw alot of situations like on this video, as my friend told me you just have to sit back and take it sometime. Thank you for your story.
Sounds like you have two wonderful woman in your life. I am glad your business worked out for you. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and time with us.
Me once in your shoes when started computer business (buy sell repair), been there, done that. But later I discovered & realize I have different background, education, passion and also another dream to pursue. So I have to change my life course. Alhamdulillah I'm in right path now for living the life.
Love that part of the story of the two most important women in your life and why some marriages lasted only for a short time. It's very much inspiring. Hats off to you Hussein.
You are a success story mate inspiration is an amazing thing my wife took me from the edge of dispair with my mental health to where I am today I agree marriages seem to last 5 minutes today I married my 12yrs ago after 1yr of dating and we support each other just like you and your wife, like thousands who do. success comes with heart, determination, desire and support from a strong women then you gain the knowledge from your mistakes which makes you better at your profession Love peace and respect to everyone God bless
Thanks..great story about struggling to establish great workshops.. احييك من سوريا ...شكرا جزيلا لجهودك وتفانيك في عملك ...احتراف الصيانة يأتي بعد خسارة وخسارة وتصميم وتوفيق طبعا من رب العالمين...
Love you man. You earned my respect. at first watching couple of your videos, I thought you were a bit rude. but now I know you came a long way and a person with strong moral values. may Allah bless you and give you, your wife and your mother a prosperous, happy and long life.

You're a lucky man to have had someone like that by your side, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I am sorry for your loss
So sorry for your loss but she’s still supporting you in spiritual. 😢
I’m so sorry for your loss Gurhan 😢❤

The most notorious pitfall in iPhone 5S repairs!
Take care.
-Aris.
🙌
That's great. The spirit of having a supportive wife is indescribable
Your work ethics and personal life experiences is really inspiring....may God bless u bro...👍🏻👍🏻😊
Maashallah I feel very happy to know you
I truly appreciate your stories Alex, you put me back in the right state of mind and remind myself that our failures are the most important part of learning!
Your story moved me. May Allah bless you forever. Ameen
Yalla
This here is a complete inspiration... the love of a woman... the determination to proceed into unknown waters.. but having the common sense and the determination.. will lead you to success. I applod you and your family.
I'm really motivated. Passing through this process at the moment after resigning my job as a network engineer to set up my laptop repair shop. I believe passion is the key to happiness. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Good luck on ur venture!
Those words stuck in my mind to this day , i was 17-18 then....i am 36 now...still the same kid... but now struggling...stuck in a job that i don't like , i am captive , imprisoned for the past 15 years ...but watching your videos woke me up , just a few more months and i will quit and try to start my own thing....in a strange way i am verry attracted to what you do , microsoldering , repairs etc , looked up for some classes that i can take to learn but not with much luck...nothing as proffesional as what you do....
Anyways , keep up the good work , i am watching your videos with great pleasure and wished to be around someone like you to learn the ways of microsoldering and repairs !
You are a man who truly deserves his success. Watching you work compared to those who haven’t got either the education or experience is like night and day.
You can’t learn without failure. It’s our best teacher.
It is great when those around you support your endeavours. Not all of us are as fortunate.
Kudos to your wife for pushing you forward!
What a great story, you have a great wife and support from her is precious.
I been working on phones since the iPhone 3GS and till this day I’m still learning everyday.
i hope u made it ..
بارك الله فيك
Yeah . I didn't have enough money to make mistake.
You inspire more than you imagine.
You have a fantastic wife who supports you unconditionally; you are blessed.
Love this video, people have a habit of assuming successful people, especially business owners hit the ground running when in reality they've spent just as much time working on failed projects that the world will never hear of. Also, it's always the "easy" jobs that end up biting you lol.
Behind every success man is a woman. I'm happy for you man. So lucky.
Alex spent $2500.00 on lawn equipment and started a 25-dollar account - 1st. same principle. thank you. Good videos with info.
Thank you for this video!
alex u are good father and good man, iwanna be like u if im getting older
Great story! Love how you tell us about the failures along with why they tought you (and now us) something important!
She is a good woman for you to continue with your repairs.
The harder you work the better you will get on your job.
Love the company name 👌🏼 flows nicely.
i think u r awesome , with me its 30 years this year and 50 now , when i was 25 i collapsed with a brain heammorrage etc the wife still takes care of me i lov her to bits . god bless you and me .
Behind every great man, woman
That's amazing! I'd like to open a repair shop here in my place, right now it's a hobby but sometimes I struggle a bit, because I rarely have worked on motherboard but I'm trying getting knowledge and get better I hope so. You helped me a lot right now 😊😊
Today July 21st of 2023
I'm at the beginning of my business and have a little money left...
My screwdrivers gearbox broke.
I left the work with disappointment and anger
I came to phone and UA-cam and saw your video...
It takes 2 months to arrive in Europe. Just for info.
When you are pure in heart, you will be blessed. Thank you ❤️
Alex you are amazing man, thanks for the business advice.
Don't give up brother
God bless people like you who understand what commitment and caring means in this world x
Your wife is great

God bless you and your 2 women in your life!
Exceptional story!
A lot of people sneer at success saying 'oh you must have had it easy', proof here that's not always the case, hardwork, taking some risks and belief in yourself is a perfect example here and behind every great man is a great woman.
i am 25 just started electronic repairs and this story sank deep down my heart hoping to one day establish myself thank for your support
السلام عليكم حسين

I LOVE YOU ALEX. GLAD I MET YOU AND GOT ALL MY MICROSOLDERING TOOLS $1000+ TO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS AND MORALS. FAMILY IS IMPORTANT AND HAVING A SPOUSE THAT SUPPORTS YOU IS KEY. GOD BLESS BROTHER.
Your wife sounds like an amazing and supportive woman! I’m glad you have her!
I can honestly say your stories are the best. I wish i had a person like you growing up.👨🔧
Hussein you definitely should be proud of having such a wonderful woman in your life, inspiring keep up the good work.
You are very lucky to have such a brave and wonderful wife. 🙏
This is why you smile after every fixed repair easy or fustrating. The determination to get it done. Thank you for this!
You are a success story mate inspiration is an amazing thing my wife took me from the edge of dispair with my mental health to where I am today I agree marriages seem to last 5 minutes today I married my 12yrs ago after 1yr of dating and we support each other just like you and your wife, like thousands who do.
success comes with heart, determination, desire and support from a strong women then you gain the knowledge from your mistakes which makes you better at your profession
Love peace and respect to everyone
God bless
