હું તો એક જ વાત કહીશ કે જેને પણ જેને પણ મોટું નુક્સાન થયુ હોય એ જ્યાં સુધી નુકસાન પૂરું નાં થાય ત્યાં સુધી તમામ પ્રકાર ના ટેક્સ આપવાનું બંધ કરી દેવુ જોઇએ
છેલ્લા પાંચ વર્ષમાં MGVCL એ પણ વર્ષોથી થાંભલા પર મુકેલાં ટ્રાન્સફરમર્સ અને DP's રસ્તા પર ગોઠવ્યા છે એટલે વિજ પુરવઠો પણ ૩-૪ દિવસ સુધી બંધ રાખવો પડ્યો.
દેવાંશી, તમે હાલ ના જવાબદાર નેતા નો ઈંટરવ્યુ કેમ નથી લેતા? કેમ એમને સીધો પ્રશ્ન નથી કરી રહ્યા ?

અમે ગોરવા ઉનડેરા રોડ પર રહીએ છીએ. છેલ્લા પાંચ દિવસથી પીવા કે વાપરવાનું પાણી નથી આવ્યુ. હજી બીજા 2-3 દિવસ આવવાની શક્યતા નથી. અગાશીનું પાણી વરસાદ આવે ત્યારે ભરી રાખીને ચલાવીએ છીએ. કોઈ મદદ પૂછવા નથી આવતુ.

My following comment was made & posted for your earlier video of 26 minutes - covering Baroda floods. But after listening to your this vedio of very well conducted interview with Amiben Rawat, my those objections become irrelevant as you have covered many more valid questions in this interview and Amiben has answered them like a true, responsible, committed, courageous opposition political leader. In light of this, my revised comments are presented as follows:
1. Congratulations to you both for doing an excellent job in your respective capacities as an honest, objective, professional journalist and responsible, persistent, courageous political leader.
2. Thank you for asking the most relevant questions of accountability.
3. The question must be raised as to who are guilty of this crime of repeated flooding in Baroda?
4. Which politicians/administrators of which parties had signed the clearance certificates at municipal, VUDA or state level offices to all the residential & commercial properties built on river banks, ponds, etc? Why should they not be traced and exposed in public interest?
5. Who are the builders who have built these illegal real estates, which repeatedly jeopardize the lives of all and damaging their precious properties, "ghar vakhari", vehicles, documents, electric appliances/equipment, and cause so much of trauma, discomfort, anger, stress?
6. On the other hand, the suffering Barodians are no less responsible for this self-inflicted tragedy!! Why did they vote for a winning party candidate by 72% votes in last Lok Sabha election? Can't this be reduced to make the party more sensitive to public ire?
7. For the last three LS elections in the state, the voters have given 95-100% LS seats to BJP. A party's mesmerizing propaganda of prioritizing religion and nationalism has yielded this rich harvest. But how can the voters forget the basic tenet of representative democracy which requires change of ruling party after every one, two, or three terms? Are the Baroda voters able to see any connections between such tragedies and habitual robotic voting for a party term after term for 30 years? Don't you want to learn any lesson from the change last LS elections has brought in? Has it not reduced hegemonic dominance of ruling party and made it more consultative and thereby more democratic?
8. In the last Gujarat VS election, you gave 154/182 seats to the ruling party BJP - breaking all past records. What did you get? Man made floods after floods?
9. Citizen-voters must be asked whether they realize the difference between becoming a bhakta/committed/loyal voter of a party and becoming an aware, alert, accountability- demanding loyal citizen of a representative democracy? Why did the voters fail in this basic politico-civic duty? What stopped them - "rashtraprem", religious beliefs, caste loyalties, civic laziness, political apathy?"
10. There is no denial of the importance of nation-building, patriotism and religious practices, but they can not be allowed to become instrumentality to hide failures of governance by a ruling party at any level.
11. As we flip the rotli, rotlo, paratha, bhakhari & thepla on the kitchen "tawa" for perfect cooking, in electoral democracy too, the voters must flip the parties for accountable governance, especially when they fail agsin & again. The price of not doing so is amply evident, not only from repeated floods but in many other cases of failure in Gujarat in last three decades of a single party rule. It is clear that till the voters wake up from this deep sleep, there is no one to save you, Barodians, from your repeatedly self-inflicted tragedies & pitiable predicament.
[No hurt, insult, or harm intended or meant to any religio-political or socio-cultural sensitivity, sentiment of citizens or institutions - in or out of Baroda. 💐🙏].
