- The luck and joy I had working with the late, great John Candy, also led me to a terrific friendship with his son, actor/writer/producer, Chris Candy, who embodies his father's kind spirit as well as his authenticity.

Richard, I don't know if you will see the comments but I just want to thank you for the decades of laughter and pleasure. From first seeing you at the Other Cafe in San Francisco in the 80's to watching all the stuff on UA-cam now available. Thank you!
the absolute legend Richard Lewis 🙌
We all love you Richard. Sharing your life's stories is awesomely cool Peace and Love brother
Oh for Christs sake, you came back! Thank you!!! John Candy, I can't imagine anyone not liking him. Thanks Richard
R.L. I adore you--
Thanks for this new podcast. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
Oh John Candy had something very special. Interesting conversation.
Hey Richard, will you do one with your "producer" sometime? :)
LOVE these episodes!
Great show. BTW Mitz root beer at pinks is great. Coulda taken Chris there.
It seems to me you both found your way as artists and people despite profound loss and change and knocked it out of the park which you still do! What a gift this podcast is. All the best to you Richard.
a brilliant introduction--Chris' voice is John's.---nothing like SCTV and "planes trains and automobiles"
Years back, I worked with a woman whose dad was a similar "catering monarch" in the Montreal area. As she relayed it, she ate a *LOT* of chicken dinners left over from the various weekend functions that her dad brought home...and not by choice.
But here's what I want to know: what *kind* of kugel? The thought of sprinkling Splenda on a potato kugel is kind of repulsive, so I have to believe it was a noodle/"lukshen" kugel. PLEASE let it be noodle!
@@markhammer643 It is a noodle kugel.
@@ChrisMCandy So, safe for human consumption! I like to put chopped dried fruit (apricots, currants, raisins, cranberries, apples) in mine. Better for a diabetic like me? Maybe, maybe not.
Big fan of your dad from the earliest days of SCTV, when we were living in Edmonton (LaRue gets his crane shot!), to the less well-known films like Canadian Bacon and Going Berserk, through to his more dramatic roles later on, like Only the Lonely.
Between two ferns. Fernwood 2 Night.
"PromoSM" 😏
I thought Richard Lewis was dead
he is now
