You saved the day. I haven’t been battling as long as you with your Furrion freezing up but mine has been doing the same thing since I got it installed 3 months ago. After seeing this video I looked for the sensor and found that it wasn’t connected at all. I just installed it like you recommended and I think that was problem all these months. Thank you !
Glad ya finally got it 👍. I built a stand on the front of my conversion to hold a hurculiner box with and inlet and outlet for 4 in ducts to attach to the front wall of trailer. Inside the box is a 49.99 (winter sale) 8000 btu cheap 12 volt compressor window unit with the inlet and return air separated and vents on the outside for the outside condenser parts. Been 6 years now and still surprisingly works too good lol Really easy to work on and even easier to replace if ever needed 👍 Just another crazy but genius conversion idea for everyone 😁👍
I just got a replacement thermistor from furrion because I thought my freeze sensor was faulty. I knew there would be a resistance associated with temperature but I had no spec or baseline. I compared the new one to the old one and values were the same. So it was probably working as it should. However the new design from furrion is a spike compared to the cylinder style I had. So like yours once it was inserted in between the fins it’s cycling like it should. I only had the problem after I installed the room temp sensor relocation kit. Since it could run nonstop to cool the whole unit it started freezing up. Thanks for the video!
Mine is / was doing this also . I put the sensor into the coil & the cycling duration shortened but the unit still froze up . I cleaned both coils & noticed the blower fan was loaded with debris . I cleaned the fins & the air flow more than doubled . I hope that this works

I really like this idea. I have 2 boxes on the front of my V. You can see them in my other videos

I’m so glad you finally figure it out. Awesome!

Thanks, it worked 😊
Are you running the single zone furrion thermostat or just a generic thermostat?
