Misfit RZR
Приєднався 13 лип 2016
My favorite type of off-roading is slow, technical rock crawling and big obstacle challenges. However, I am not your typical side by side owner who thrashes and beats on their machine to make it do something it’s not designed to. Mine is purposely built to follow most full size rigs…. that don’t want a RZR riding with them. On the flip side, most side by sides can’t follow me where I want to go. Hence the name Misfit RZR, because it just doesn’t fit into any group….

Curious on how you protect your black water tank? We have lots of road debris so I’m trying to think up a way to protect my investments in both time and money.
Great job, I appreciate your thinking outside of the box. I’m about to start my own buildout.
Great job. I've also been thinking about converting a cargo trailer much like you have, but I have also been looking at Toy haulers, how did you decide to go the cargo trailer route?
What size is your trailer?
I know in California one gr8 benefit for doing this conversion is you only have to register this thing every 5 years for $10...an actual toy hauler is every year...enclosed trailers much more sturdy and build right. ..nice build
I am very surprised that this video doesn’t have way way more views. Great idea. So how did you do it?
Where are you black and gray tanks?
Thanks
Nicely done.
Awesome!
3:19 Good Lord. That's a McMansion and a half. You a doctor? Lawyer? Work for the cartel?
How much you think you have in this set-up?
Heck ya wicked set up definitely stealing some ideas!
Very well thought out.
I’m trying to do he same thing with a stockish height Jeep Cherokee xj 4 door. Any input?
As long as it works for you and you're comfortable with and in , it doesn't really matter what it looks I would be happy and comfortable in it just the way you have it. An idea for your bunk that you want ideas on. 1:get a rope hammock and tie it to your 2×4 that. you're using 10:40 2: go get some canvas material that they sometimes use to make hammocks and attach two sides to your 2×4's and basically make a hammock out of them. I say that since you seem to like what you have burnout pleased with the way it currently looks. Only reason I'd be concerned with the way you have it is because I know how easy the blankets you are using can rip.
Mine is / was doing this also . I put the sensor into the coil & the cycling duration shortened but the unit still froze up . I cleaned both coils & noticed the blower fan was loaded with debris . I cleaned the fins & the air flow more than doubled . I hope that this works
Odd question, if you were interested, how much would you charge to build for someone if they supplied everything needed (e.g., air conditioner, etc.)?
Do Campgrounds allow these U hauls to be In Parks? Motor Homes have age Limits! Buy a True RV Trailer!
Awesome build man..In the process of figuring out what size/how im going to do one myself..literally 0 carpentery experience but the perfectionist in ne won't settle for mediocre 🤷♂️I don't care how long it takes either cuz it won't look like someone with 0 experience, built it,well as much as possible anyways😂 aesthetics pretty important to me, hence the 0 experience.......Anyways What did it end up costing at the end of the day? roughly?
Humm, mine is 1" from the bottom. As i sit here sweating with warm air blowing in my 2023 furion.
Does it keep freezing up?
@@MisfitRZR twice in 3 trips. I have high humidity here in Florida.
Extremely efficient use of space as far as the bathroom/kitchen area !
Awesome video.
Very nice! Love the simplicity of everything, has just what you need, love the fold down beds!!!!
Too.much b.s....video could have been under 3 min.
Toy haulers are build like crap.. Trailers are stronger...hold up better...and you save about 70 percent by doing it yourself✌
Thanks, it worked 😊
Just came across your video. It is so helpful to see the details of the plumbing. From the entry to how you have it plumbed to leave the trailer. I've been watching a lot of videos and thinking doing a 8.5 x 24 conversion with V nose. I travel a lot with qn Asphalt company qnd have winters off. Currently have a Northern Lite TC, but would like q little more room for full-time living qnd working. The TC would be fine for my snowbirding in the winter. Once again, thank you and very helpful. Wish this could circulate more for others to watch. Happy camping!
This awesome thanks for sharing I’m going to copy this idea
How has the trailer held up over time? Does spartan make a good trailer with all the weight and modifications?
What you did for the pan is great for this application. If someone wants to be anal you can always do the rubber shower liner under the mortor bed and run up the walls 6" like i do for home showers. They also make a adjustable shower drain for this as well. The issue with the drain os they are 2" pvc and would stick down way to far. The only way around that would to build the pan up higher but thats to much for a simple cargo trailer shower thats not used every night all year long. Ps: im a plumber
Awsome job!! On the build and video.
Thank you
Seriously great job! I personally think you hit the perfect balance of practical for hauling w/necessities for camping. Not overly done, but not skimped on either. Solid build and solid video. Much appreciated.
Thank you
Nice job!
GREAT JOB
I also will likely be doing this style bathroom when I get my trailer build together
Is the trailer 7’ high?
Yes
@@MisfitRZR just ordered a 8’
@@MisfitRZRis the trailer an 8 1/2 wide ?
@@asphaltwarrior1yes 8.5’ ft would be needed for Murphy style beds and RZR on portals.
How tall is it from the bottom of the bunk to the floor? Thanks 😊
When it is up, it’s around 6 feet.
Do you plan to put solar panels?
What mpg do you get pulling ? My guess is 8-10
I like the cot idea, simple. I want to keep my build pretty basic and that cot looks like it would work great.
I totally enjoyed seeing your cargo conversion it is a great set up
I know you said the length is 18' but what is the height and width?
Width is 8.5” on outside. Height is 7’
Nice build.
Thank you very much
The bathroom install in the front is million dollar advice. I have done several drawings and never once considered doing that. I will now when I do my build. Thank you.
thinking the same
Did you weld hook points to your suspension to attach the winch cable?
I just got a replacement thermistor from furrion because I thought my freeze sensor was faulty. I knew there would be a resistance associated with temperature but I had no spec or baseline. I compared the new one to the old one and values were the same. So it was probably working as it should. However the new design from furrion is a spike compared to the cylinder style I had. So like yours once it was inserted in between the fins it’s cycling like it should. I only had the problem after I installed the room temp sensor relocation kit. Since it could run nonstop to cool the whole unit it started freezing up. Thanks for the video!
I’m so glad you finally figure it out. Awesome!
it is not the same as it was... when i started my jeep build i thought i was going to hit this trail, now i need to build a buggy next to try this trail
The only issues I can see on the outside or where you have your shore, power hooked up and your city water hook up and your fill tank hook up because you don’t really ever want electricity and water in the same spot if you ever have a leak in your city water hook up you’re gonna fill that electrical outlet with water and possibly have a short
Propane water heaters are extremely dangerous indoors due to carbon monoxide poisoning, many people died from this every year in my hometown many years ago. Yes, they were smart enough to open the bathroom window while taking a shower. Hope this saves someone's life.
