Thanks Pat for the informative videos. Just wondering if you could explain why we would want to deploy the different types of domain controllers(i.e child,servercore,secondary DC) and where would be an ideal place to host them. Would hyper-v work for these various server configurations or a dedicated system for these other controllers
Great Video. Two questions. Do we need to set Google DNS as a third option or 192.168.50.201 will be able to forward the request? And the second one, what is the difference setting a child domain instead of a new separate domain since they can't find itself? Thank you.
Thanks for the work, do we have to join the CDC server to domain first then install Child Domain controller? It also worked when I tried not to join the server to domain instead install CDC directly. any comments? The thing is I do not see the CDC is dead in the DC01.

I'm having issues installing the CDC, It says this option is not available in WS 2019 Essentials, any ideas?
