When Arsenio came back it was supposed to be renewed. It was even advertised in NY that the second season would be coming. I agree with you.

Lack of support from the fans and the network. There really was not much Arsenio could do, because their were so many late night interview shows on. He had the advantage back in the 90's by being able to bring on guests that were not asked to come one Letterman or Leno, but when he came back, the talk show/variety circuit had caught up and were "Arsenio" after Arsenio left.
But the good thing is he and Prince's schedule allowed from him to be on, and be the only guest before the show was taken off of the air.
Richard was a genius.
