For real, just by nature of the butterfly effect if his friend didn’t let him stay rent free he would’ve most likely not have succeeded. Who knows tho. Rent is gettin too expensive now 😭
I actually really like this one. My cynical side said "He probably came from wealth" nope immigrant parents were broke. "He probably got a great job that funded the entire thing" nope, his job paid well but he needed investors that took 20 rejections. He basically took a chance and it paid off. I really like that. I get tired of "self made" videos were the person's rich uncle funds the start up. Here its basically how an average person with average resources would do it
He still got help though. His friend gave him rent free living. That is huge. There is no such thing as a self-made person. You receive help to some degree. He still works hard nonetheless.

What’s so awesome about this guy is he had a stable job already; he risked it all to pursue something he wanted to create! Mad love. I hope he continues to succeed as this sky is the limit for this guy. Much love!
love how they showed how he did not work and slept on his friends couch for some time before getting where he is at now. Such a wholesome dude and wholesome video. A reminder for a lotta people watching these finance videos that money is important but not everything. Thank you!
For those who don't know him personally, he is genuinely a nice guy. I got a chance to speak to him on and meet him on Clubhouse, which he is active on. He is a genuine person and this video proves it. Imagine, a CEO of a company, pays himself a reasonable salary (which in my opinion is a low salary given the fact he lives in LA) in order to pay his workers better and to make sure his company thrives.
Such an inspirational person! I admire him for quitting a well-paying job to start a non-profit built on empathy and kindness. We need more people like him.

Man, this dude lives a couple of blocks from me (based on the shot of him walking his dog) next to Culver City. What an inspirational guy! The only critique I would have of his budget is that he lives in a luxury building when there are plenty of cheaper 1 bedrooms in the area, but it’s definitely a personal choice.
