Is the template purchasable in smaller elements? I have a lot of this already in place that I'm happy with but like the way you have the KPI & log set up. Would love to buy that template without all the other bits I don't really need.
This is very impressive. I am having difficulty understanding how you make your template automatically conform to whatever page you are on. (Example: at 11:03 how do you make your new template automatically show only "The Boss" information.
This is done by filtering in a database by the name of the template itself. This way, when you run the template, the filter will point to the current page
@@DanielCanosa Thank you for the reply. Just so I'm understanding... 1) Create a template and name it "Sample". 2) Create a database and filter it by "Sample" ... Then when I use the template and rename the page from "Sample" to "Sample 1" ... The filter will AUTOMATICALLY change and update. Am I correct in thinking this?
Hello Daniel! Many thanks for sharing this video! it's great!! Question what is SOPs? And the other thing in your database you have a Workflow database, what you do there is save the automations and actions you have in a table? regards from Chile!!!
SOPs stands for Standard Operating Procedures. It's basically a document with step by step processes for doing [insert company process]. I use the Workflows to store all the automations I have built. When you're a certain size it's very easy to lose track of what's being done behind the scenes, so this DB helps with that. Un saludo desde España :)
Amazing! I'm using it as inspiration for my reservation management system. But how can I best manage cancellations using this method? And will you use the buttons? Thanks in advance, JCM from France.
Hello Daniel, I have 3 small questions for you- 1. For projects that require alot of *repeat processes like website builds, and ongoing SEO implementations, and back end stuff, how would you capture that in your Workflow? 2. When my Sales team are doing Cold calling to find potential clients online or through the internet they may cold call 50-100 people initially. So how would you recommend using your system to keep track of all of those 50-100 initial phone calls etc. 3. In your project management section how would you include/manage instructions or SOP's that require 3rd party applications? For example in website building my company uses Wordpress, Namecheap to buy domains, Google Drive Storage, and other 3rd party applications. Thanks!
1. I would think of ways to separate each "SEO Implementation" for instance into smaller tasks. If not possible, it can just be one task (linked to the corresponding project) with a date range (the time you're gonna spend on the task). Sidenote; if the tasks are always the same for every project, there are ways to automate the creation of a set of tasks, but we need 3rd party tools such as Make. 2. I would create them into the Meetings database. I'd import the list of contacts you're gonna call to and create a select property to differenciate who you've already called. Since most calls won't lead to anything I wouldn't bother creating a "Client" in the Companies database unless they convert. 3. I would include links to those 3rd party apps inside of the SOP itself. Example: "Step 1: Go to Google Drive and open X". *Google Drive* would have a hyperlink

Hey love this video, my question there is a hidden gem in this, and that is the workflows, how did you go about implementing that is Notion, that is really impressive.. do you have any video tutorials about how to do that?
This is in fact a gem! Good catch... I don't have a specific video about it but some glimpses here and there. It's basically one or several linked views of databases that shows you the properties you need for any particular workflow
Nice, but $137 is a little steep! Bummer for me, I guess... But for that price, I would expect many Quick Capture features + buttons, unless you've updated the system since this video was made? :) Thanks.
Hi Daniel! I noticed the input done disappears after being checked, how did you do that? I think its really cool. Also thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
Very informative video thanks! I am a new user. How do you create the back end page? I cannot figure out how to make a page that is a list of databases like yours. When I try to insert a database it shows a database view.
Hello I have one question, can I use this template on the notion free version? For example, I create the employee template for a new person, then I share that part with them and boom, this person she's everything they have to see, everything this person add shows on the other places, sees only what's needed and when I decide to remove acess I do. I'm just asking because having to pay $8 per user is bother some, since we will do the same things like on the free version.
Hello! In the template all the databases are in one page, so all you'd need to do is add your employees as a guest to that page and to whatever other pages you'd want them to have access to. It's a bit more pain than creating a workspace to give them access to everything right away but it's free :)
@@DanielCanosa Thanks! I have been using notion for a week or so and got scared that it took me a bit to do my little project. But u doing it in 2 weeks with that much experience is reassuring.
I hear and read that notion has security issues. Is this true in your opinion? Is it safe to enter sensitive company details like finances and contacts? I use notion personally but so far for just tracking tasks and projects, and as a knowledge center. I hope you or someone can give me an honest answer because I want to use it for client details as well.
Hey Jasin! It is true that Notion is not encrypted. In my case, the only thing I consider "sentitive" are passwords (I use a password manager for that). The rest of my info (financials, clients... everything really) stays in Notion because honestly if they were shared with anyone it won't be a problem. The only problem would be with documents under an NDA... I would store those in a more secure place. Anyway, so far they haven't had any security problem :)
