Tina - I can see why this is your favorite technique for working with the pastels. Them butterflies look like stain glass master pieces . Absolutely gorgeous work there. You sure have your pastel chalks techniques down perfect. Thank you for sharing these lovely cards with us .Your talent with the pastels is awesome. 💞
Tina, your cards are simply put-BEAUTIFUL!! This technique I have never seen before so I am profoundly surprised and thrilled to have seen it. I watch your videos every time I see them on my UA-cam channel. You are a great teacher. So easy to understand. I am in a very very small town in CA.
My mother was really into scrapbooking when I was really little, and she would let her kids sometimes play with her things (she was VERY kind to do so, I realize now). She had a different sort of chalk that I remember being annoyed with because six year old me didn't know how to make them work. I kind of forgot about them until now, but seeing your series on these reminded me and it's so cool to finally understand them!
Thank you so much for this awesome beautiful chalk series. Really appreciate you, your talents and your sharing all these techniques and wonderful ideas. God bless you in your endeavors!👍🥰👏👏👏
Tina I love this technique as much as you do.the cards you made are absolutely beautiful..I’m ready to get the chalk and try it and being fairly new to card making this was the first time I happily got to see your lovely designs..thank you love watching you as you have such great ideas..❤️
Tina, I really loved this series! I got the chalks the other day and I love using them. I must say I enjoy watching you, because you make things easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your talent and designs!
Tina, thank you so much for a reminder of this beautiful technique. Had forgotten this great way of using the pastels.....I even have the original ones that came in individual, small square containers. Not much chalk left in my favourite colours but have replaced with the new stick ones. Love your work, even though I'm subscribed, I miss most of your videos so get the joy of finding them when checking your list. Many thanks, regards from UK 🇬🇧
At first I thought, ugh, when doing the coloring. But after it was done, I was surprised. Have to give this a try. Will be checking out the other videos too. I missed them. Thanks for sharing..
Wow! Tina the cards are just beautiful! I got my order yesterday, so I will be using my chalks. Will try the butterflies. Thank you, you are a wonderful teacher. Millie
I love all the cards, but that Lovely as a Tree one. Love it. I will have to try and remember to do this. Someday maybe I can get Butterfly Brilliance.
Oh, Wow! That is Beautiful! I have drawn all kinds of things through the years with pencil, colored them with my pastel chalks and outlined with a black permanent marker…so I now absolutely have to try this on some of my cards…have often thought of doing it on some but didn’t want to do all that drawing by hand…with your method I won’t have to…Thanks so much…love your Gorgeous butterflies…
Beautiful, fun and a different idea! Will check out your other chalk videos. My chalks are little cups (I can't scrape any off onto a pad) I am going to try using those. Hope that works the same as yours. Thanks for the video. Will be checking out your other chalk videos as well. Thanks so much.
Tina I have a question for you.......I did two with the same butterfly brilliance stamp. The first try was on white card stock (not SU) and my colors were fairly light and I used Stazon. . My second try was on shimmer white (love that paper!) and I pressed much harder with the chalk. I used memento. When I put wink of stellar on the first one the chalk all blended and I ended up with one color! The second one was much better. What did I do wrong? Thank you!
I remember doing this before. Love the idea. Do you need to coat the chalk with anything so the chalk doesn’t rub off or does the wink of Stella keep it from dusting it off?
HI Karen. Some people buy a fixative spray at craft stores or use hairspray to seal but I never have and haven't had any issues with the chalk dusting off.
Love this idea Tina. I remember Doing that years ago but with markers and not chalks. Do you have to spray the paper with something over the chalks or does the wink of Stella keep it from dusting off!

I use the pastel chalks and water painters in part 4 of this series - they work fabulously together!
Could you emboss on top after you use the pastels?
You sure can!
Do you need to seal the pastel color? Beautiful!
Hi Christine! Some people buy a fixative spray at craft stores or use hairspray to seal but I never have and haven't had any issues with the chalk dusting off.
@@Serenestamper TY!
What type of tile do you use
Hi Kylie - I just buy tumbled tiles at the hardware store. They're not sealed or glossy.
why not color directly with the stick? the 9 o'clock especially was muddy and not vivid.
It works better scraped off, in my experience
Absolutely beautiful! Love it. Thank You!!!
