I seen Chuck in 1989 in Cambridge Mass when he was doing a book signing his film career was at its height then.i got a real good look at him.never met Bill but always liked A.F.O.O with the both of them.

Mr. Wallace was the guest host at the 1981Wyoming Kung fu/ Karate championship tournament in Gillette WY. I won the junior division and he presented me with my trophy. What an honor, I will never forget it as one of the highlights of my youth. He is the definition of class act.

I met Bill Superfoot Wallace at Super Summer Seminars at Lake Placid through Zen Do Kai. He was an amazing individual, he also came back to Schenectady at IUE hall. Those two times truly impacted me as a martial artist through out my whole life : even today…. Thank You Bill

It's amazing hearing these stories about Chuck Norris. It's amazing to me how you don't really find any negative about these men. And even Chuck Liddell holds Chuck Norris in high regards. That says a lot to how good the guy is. He's the real deal.
Been watching super foot since I was a kid . I’m 50 now and I enjoy and watching the content and fights of my man Superfoot! In my eyes the best kicker and fighter of all time and I boxed most of my life ! Thx again
That left leg of his is crazy good.always has been.the timing,control and technics this man has in his legs are unreal.

The very first time I got to see Bill Wallace Was on ESPN... absolutely blew me away at that time he was fighting out of Memphis Tennessee and I was living in Nashville Tennessee I was eight or nine years old and I have been a fan ever since wish I could meet him thank you mr Wallace for all the enjoyment...from the ring to movie

I met Bill at the Jet Center, we walked in to train that day and there was Bill kicking a bag. He took a picture with us and was a very humble friendly person. That was back in the mid 80's.
I have the honor to know both of these Great Men and Martial Artists personally and call them my 'friends'...they both have one thing in common...Humility and Love. They are the nicest, kindest, caring and sincerely wonderful individuals you would ever want to meet! GM Norris... The World's Greatest Living Martial Artist, and GM Bill Wallace …. America's Ambassador of Martial Arts to the World! No man alive has done more to promote the Martial Arts in the World than Chuck Norris....books, TV, movies...he has done it all! In the few moments I spoke with Bill Wallace (Karate College, Radford University), Love was flowing the whole time. What a blessing it was to be able to spend a few mins listening to him. Bill SuperFoot Wallace was NEVER fake neither was Chuck Norris! I watched videos on bill SuperFoot Wallace and chuck Norris they were just something else to watch in action!! I ALSO seen Joe Lewis in full contact matches, he was one serious mean guy! Bill SuperFoot Wallace did so well in full contact karate! Wallace is an amazing person because he had limitations being he mainly used his LEFT leg cause his right leg was injured in judo!! ♾️✅✅♾️

Mr. Wallace, I had no idea that you attended Jefferson High School on 9th and union street, Lafayette Indiana. Your home town was not fat from Lafayette Indiana.
As I've grown up with you and Chuck Norris. However I'm to young to remember any TV Viewing of kick boxing, it was a popular sport in the martial arts, not popular enough to be shown on world wide sports.
I respect your discipline, sportsmanship and integrity.. this country needs more of that Mr. Wallace. Simply love your attitude.

I met mr Wallace in Napoli in the 80's for an italian Budo festival. I still have the recordings when he had as a partner to show his kicks and sparring my senior training partner. Wonderful memories. I have a podcast on martial arts and it would be wonderful to have mr Wallace as a guest
I know it was late, but i spent the 80/90s obsessing over these guys, with movies and Black Belt mags.

WOW! I was taking classes w/Bill Wallace in 1976, and on a Saturday after class, everyone had left and I watched him spar a big tall white guy - no kicking, just straight boxing. After he finished, he told me he was training for a fight, and that he'd be gone the next week. When he was back, I remember asking him how his fight turned out. He said he knocked him out (Jim Echolas), and that my first Instructor Jim Harrison was the referee!
Yes, very true. That tall white guy was Joey Hadley who was light heavyweight boxer (took second to Marvin Johnson in the 1972 olympics).
Great interview! Saw Bill at a tournament in Nashville back in the 90s. Didn't get a chance to meet him because he was surrounded and he seemed very friendly and happy to be there. Loved the fact that he and Chuck sparred with no one around and just had a blast! Keep kickin' Bill!

@@burttheman3697 I'm in 100% agreement my friend. Unless I'm proven wrong, I still can't picture Elvis as a hardcore full contact fighter. I just don't see it.
@@kenlucas5474 the times were different in the seventies of course. Martial artists didn’t know about the dominance of Muay Thai, BJJ or MMA. Elvis learned a hard style in Germany from Hank Slemansky, a military instructor. But after that he switched to the doubtful Kenpo karate of Ed Parker, the man who gave him 8 degree black belt. Those guys weren’t really in good shape. I wish he would’ve picked up training with the great Bill Wallace.
In 1974 I got a call from Red West (Elvis' chief of security) and was invited to workout with Elvis and others. My honest opinion is he was a very flamboyant martial artist - overall pretty good. I will make sure to do a video about my time with Elvis soon. Thanks for the idea and for your interest.

Great video love these old school stories also love the movie force of one great underrated martial arts movie. One of my favourite fight scenes was the one where you killed chucks characters son (not favourite because you killed him but because it was a great fight scene) that guy seemed like he had some legit skills but never saw him in anything else do you have any background on him he had some great kids that guy

Myself - I could only kick with my lead leg. My rear leg (right leg) had a damamged knee that does not allow me to use for kicking.
Usually, the film studios rarely ask ex-champions to be in films because they can't act. They'd rather get actors and train them to look like they had training. Or spent some time training. Which is what they did for the Karate Kid movies and Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. No martial arts background. But, in Force Of One (the first time I saw it) I think Bill did an amazing job being the bad guy. He was convincing. He had "the look". The "Back off i you want to live look". Whereas in real life Bill sin't anything like his character. He did what Tom Hardy did as "Bain" for the 3rd Dark Knight film. A convincing intimidating looking bad guy.
Some guys like Norris you know are good. 6x National Karate Champ. But he ddoesnt intimidate. Doesn't have that look. To me.
If you look at many of Bill's seminar videos...you see fear in the eyes of many who he uses for demo's. :) While at the same time Bill puts people at ease with his jokes. Be like standing in front of Floyd Mayweather in a boxing seminar. Or Tyson in his prime. They never gave seminars.

No, but I met him in 1967 at the Long Beach Internationals.
I met Chuck Norris when my cousin Luis Delgado beat him, and another unknown Puertorican Adolfo Velasco.
I remember you beat my close friend O’Sensei Wilfredo Roldan Hanshi. Roldan passed away on December 31, 2020 at age 69.

Why didn´t you tell us who won the sparring match between you and Chuck in 1978? Chuck was long retired and you was still fighting, so I guess you had an advantage.
@Jake Collins I just wanted to hear his opinion about Norris as a fighter because many people say that Norris was no real fighter because he only fought on points. That´s the reason I wanted to know what Bill thinks about Norris as a fighter. I know that this sparring session took place when Norris was no longer a fighter but an actor while Bill was the current kickboxing champion of the world.
It's our secret, between Chuck and I and we promised each other that. I can say it was a fantastic time!

Dear Bill: I have a question: In the early 90´s you did a show fight against your friend Joe Lewis. I think you were 46 or 47 years old at the time. In Black Belt Magazine you said that Chuck Norris was your original choice for the fight. At first Chuck agreed to do it but all of a sudden you couldn´t get Chuck anymore. You said that probably somebody talked him out of it. Do you now know by any chance why Chuck didn´t accept your offer?

Yes, because he was working on a film at the time. My second choice was Benny Urquidez but he was not available. But, fighting Joe ended up being a perfect match for all involved.

so we have chuck norris a touch contact point stop champion go sparring with a kickboxing champion and bill says they kicked the crap out of eachother for over an hour ? ? bill should have been well out of chucks league as far as being a fighter goes. kickboxing is a dam lot tougher than point stop so either bill is simply being kind to his friend chuck or at that time bill wasnt as good as he was to later become because chuck should have been way out of his depth heavy sparring with bill.i should know i did both point stop karate like chuck and kickboxing in the ring. bill should have destroyed chuck very quickly. the fact bill said that didnt happen they were very even tat for tat, is quite suspicious.
Bill we become what we train for, you fought under the PKA, and im a former kickboxing instructor under the PKA. i have always liked your friend chuck, hes such an easy going guy, however i dont quite agree with how his whole career he has called himself a fighter ? i know that both you and Joe lewis started out in point stop but then moved on to kickboxing under the PKA. where as chuck stayed competing in point stop karate. you and Joe were great fighters and proved your salt time and time again where as Chuck to be honest played it safe and did not fight, he stayed playing tag. please dont think of me disrespectfull, you will know that i too would have done both point stop and kickboxing having had affiliation with the PKA like you, im simply saying i think that though a great guy chuck is he does seem to over rate himself as a fighter when many many hardcore fighters past and present do not regards point stop as fighting but more a game of tag. also ive been informed by a 9th degree master from the usa that chuck actually only won the title just the once. as the tournament wasnt held again until 6 years later and chuck retired the very year the tornaments were held again, so if this is true that would be very dishonest of chuck wouldnt it. can you elaborate or would you rather not ? either way i respect your decision.
At the time we sparred I was at the top of my game. Chuck was a top notch point fighter and in those days point fighting was tough - I saw him drop several opponents. When we did train and spar it was just that - training and some light friendly sparring. I can tell you that even though Chuck was no longer competing he was a very talented and tough fighter. @@ransomedavis2208just because he chose to compete in point fighting mainly because by the time kick-boxing started he was out of his competition days but that doesn’t mean he didn’t train full contact. End of the day it’s all punching and kicking there’s no secret magic techniques they both know the same moves
