Fun fact: Chinese speakers can somewhat understand most of the kanji, but we can’t pronounce it in Japanese I’m Chinese, understand most of these kanji and can pronounce them in Chinese, but for Japanese I’d need Hiragana
That is bcos it's taken/inspired from mandarin. Ancient chinese is similar to hieroglyphics. It went through serveral evolution to reach this traditional form that japan n taiwan,hk still use today. Simplified form is newest, being used in china n singapore.
@@doyouknowkeplertwentytwob4032 yeah, but more picture like, Kanji (chinese and Japanese) is very similar to it being that they both are like pictures. If you look at the first one, the kanji almost looks like a tree.

讠radical is just the cursive script (草書) of 訁radical . Some simplified Chinese characters simply use the 草書 versions of the traditional characters, like 車 to 车, 東 to 东, 為 to 为 etc.
The "-hen" suffix specifies that you're talking about a radical that goes on the side, as opposed to the regular character/noun. A frequent exception to this is the radical for water "sanzui" (literally 3 waters) and the radical for ice "nisui" (2 waters). The "-kanmuri" suffix serves a similar function to "-hen". It literally means crown, and those radicals go on top.
What is "hen", "zui" and "kanmuri" in the names of the character parts? I see a difference between "hen" and "kanmuri", but not between "hen" and "zui".
In Japanese, "sanzui" means three drops of water, but this is an exception to the Japanese radical naming convention. Basically, it is called "hen" but there are quite a few exceptions. "kanmuri" means "crown" in Japanese, and is used for the upper part of the radical.
As I Japanese,龍 may be more sacred thing than 竜. Most myths and legends are likely to use this kanji for dragon gods. For instance, 恐竜 means dinosaurs because dinosaurs are not god or something sacred, they are only big lizard. I think complex kanji has stronger meaning than simplified one.

Another examples : 森(woods) 叫(cry) 河(river) 霧(fog) 苔(moss) 鰯(sardine)銅(copper) 狗(dog) 詩(poem) 管(tube)
