It’s to help alert a burglary if the power is cut, Course a burglar can disconnect the battery, but then the amount of time it will take to find the alarm box would discourage most burglars anyway. Other wise a burglar just needs to cut the power to the house of flip all the fuses and turn all circuits off and there would be no alarm going off at all then. I know which one I prefer.
Brilliant, thank you so much. Was quoted £90 + VAT by alarm company to replace. It took 4 mins + £15 battery cost. Legend!!
Followed instructions and it worked first time. Thank you. 🎉
Great video, thanks! What battery is required for this alarm?
Yes sometimes they don’t include it tho
@@uksds3806 I think he was asking what kind of battery is required rather than if one is needed at all.
Thank you. Very useful.
Why does it have a battery when it can also be powered directly from mains? Can't a burglar just disconnect the battery?

@@jlrguy2702 ah right I see, thanks 👍🏻
@@chrisa1234 it’s also only a battery back up for the alarm, if you disconnect all power the siren will keep going off. As I know right now aghhhh lol
😂 turn the power off first 😮
